After reading your review (and seeing the TH-cam video) in Guitarist magazine, I decided to splash out on a sapphire blue Bobcat S66 with Bigsby. I play in a sixties band and have gigged it several times now. I just love it. It's such a versatile piece of kit and is just perfect for Beatles, Stones and even Shadows' instrumentals sound fantastic on the instrument. It's a much-admired guitar.

I have just gone out and bought the Giulietta 3PS, and i am super impressed with the whole package. Perfect set up out of the box and a gorgeous sound. My next gig is in 4 days and i will me using it then to give it a through workout. I am also looking to buy the sister guitar the Giulietta 3D as my 66th birthday present to myself, and will try that out for my solo gigs as do do play a variety of music. Thanks for the Review it was spot on.

These guys are top notch. Always tasteful, never feel like they are pushing the merchandise. Kudos.

Nice review. By the way, the Leo amp up on the rear display was my first amp in 1972, from memory a 7 watt combo. I had the one with tremelo. Man, that takes me back! I sold/traded it for a Kelly 60 watt head.

Hey Richard & Neville, thanks so much excellent review, I've been considering the S66. I was really looking for someone to talk about the quality, not just the tone. This sells around ~$1300 US so before making that kind of investment I wanted to to know it had the quality to justify the price. I've got Vox amps & a Series33 goldtop, all of which I love, so I do trust the brand but there's no dealers that have this within over 1-200km of me so I was nervous about buying blind. THANKS!

I wished VOX had used their absolutely FAN-TAS-TIC "VOX SDC 55" as a guitar to install the new "AREOS-D digital modeling system".
I'd really go for a modelling guitar or any battery powered guitar (active pickups, electro-acoustic, modelling, etc) with rechargeable batteries "which can easily be removed" when they go bad, 'cause they all do go bad at one point or another, just like on a laptop computer, if you see what I mean. I'm not sure if any Ni-MH AA battery model can actually compete with the power and longevity of a big power pack like on a Line 6 Variax though.
These new models have NO ACCESS whatsoever to their upper frets, which makes them good looking decorations for any modern guitarist wanting to use such guitars as a versatile instrument for gigging. Versatile like doing a bit of this and that and carrying just one guitar, and that was the forte of the Line 6 Variax guitars which are being or have already been discontinued.
Even the "acoustic type" "Giulietta VGA-3PS" and "Giulietta VGA-5TPS" are nice decorations. I mean, there is a reason why Godin is the professional option for such electro-acoustic guitars, and yes, you can also use a Godin to "drive" synthesizers (via midi).
So, in conclusion, I guess that the sort of lower price tag is justified for these new VOX guitars ... Or, are these guitars really so affordable??? (... not so sure after all)

Hey guys, these Bobcats shine in the clean domain. You need to show that side of things. I've bought the S66 Bobcat and its great!

@@danf5606 Hey Dan. Yes I really enjoy this guitar, Can not fault the build and fit and finish. The pickups are bright, especially the bridge one. I was finding it hard to choose between the S66 and the V90, but in the end I went for the S66 because it really is different to anything else I own.

Great instruments, great quality and sound. But…….. you have to really love that, which is, the Vox sound. Not for me. Tele, 335 or L Paul. To me there are no other guitars.

Really like these , especially the Bobcat v90.. I just wont pay over $1,000 for over seas guitars, rather bite the bullet and spend a lil more for an American one or go for an Electromatic Gretsch made in Indonesia which are excellent & only $900.

How would you replace the rechargeable battery when it finally goes bad? I would’ve preferred a 9v battery the user can easily replace.

Very pleasant gentleman but a bit too much talk for me and not enough playtime and as others have mentioned no clean tones.
