Teacher, philosopher, and social activist Dr. Cornel West joined CalEndow Live for a one-hour virtual discussion on February 27. In a conversation moderated by Dr. Robert K. Ross, President and CEO of The California Endowment, Brother West discussed his upbringing in Sacramento and how the lessons he learned as a young man continue to shape his values. The duo discussed the current state of Black America and fielded many questions from our live audience.

My heroes are the men working for their families and are unknown are standing behind the line.
