p.s. ... What surprised me the most the first time I saw this was how PLAYFUL & funny Nate is. A side to him we don't see often, and it's a gift to see.
I think each scene represents him not belonging there, like he doesn't belong in the rap industry but he keeps popping up everywhere.

Yes that is true and the other fact is that many people call his music violent. That could be a way to interpret the scene with the family
And the fact that wherever he goes, whether he belongs or not, he destroys it !!!!

The specific scenes dont seem to have a meaning, but the video shows that his body is on earth and he keeps appearing out of nowhere (just like the in the music industry) like hes not supposed to be there but hes actually in the clouds. Just like he said in outcast:
I'm high off the music, my head's in the clouds
I kinda like it up here, I am not comin' down
And at the end of this video he says "i ain't gotta say it, they know where my head is."
Yeah the ending reference I remembered him saying the lyrics from Outcast but I couldn’t remember the song name lol
I love his positive mood, playfulness and humor in this song. I think there’s references to Intro, Paid My Dues (one trick pony), Outcast...

@@AxiomReviewsChannel THAT is kind of what I told my son... he disagrees entirely. I see other things in Don't Look Down that remind me of Clouds and just NF period. Who had the fake smile like that first? Seriously, I don't know... but it made me wonder about that also. Tom also references a meteoric rise... NF came out of the clouds like a meteor rock.
I believe there are others but I'd have to listen to it again to get them.
His not the only one who has stolen his idea,,, in the when I Grow Up movie all those scenes Drake stole them and did the same later on with future can't recall the song

My take on the house on fire is when he says he "come out the clouds like a meteor rock", is that he landed on the house and now it's on fire. Love hearing everyone's interpretations.

Yeah! Plus, regarding the fact that this music video is inspired partly by Tenet, the logic is, "the effect comes before the cause" which is what we see when he exits the house. First, there is smoke, then there is fire, and later, he "drops" (his song, himself, his content) like a meteor rock!

I didn't think of specific symbolism in the scenes other than he causes chaos in every scene he enters...just like Nate does every time he drops a song. I love his new playfulness! #NF (I think it is the same house!)

By the way, if you really want to understand the main point of view of this particular song, just go and watch Tenet. It's metaphysical and I understand you may not like the complications in it, BUT it is definitely worth it. As a sample, you can observe the relevent fact of the movie that "the effect comes before the cause" and that's why you see the smokes first, and then the fire starts…

What a nice vid to wake up to.. so theres a ton behind this.. im just going to answer things out of order.. the mumble rapper shot isnt new to Nate. Hes done it a lot.. around 12:45 is the idea of the whole video.. he leaves every scene in destruction. Not just the house. The number on the house 429 is a police code referecing an Emergency to his fans whove been begging for a song.. the part right before the says the wisdom line, he throws a crust of bread.. thats been a inside joke between him and his fans.. “give me some props, ill take your body throw it a block”... double, body is a prop. 😏 oh, Mischief.. i see this video as Mischief coming out finding him in the Clouds to play a little.. making Us, and Nate, more important, have some fun showcasing his swagger weve always known hes had. The stepfoots in the clouds is another callback to Outcast “hulk is running”... The clouds in general is a call out sequel to The Outcast where se says “my heads in the clouds.. i kinda like it up here im not coming down”.. so yes, it is a reference to Oucast as well.. then, our man stops traffic.. against the grain, as always he owned everyones lane. Not just his own.. he owns the game. He wanted it, and took it. Clean but nasty. Flawless victory. Glad you loved it.. theres a ton more little references here, but thats Nate.. he loves his cryptics, toying with his fans giving them homework.. but also toying AT the game.. hes got the IT (ironic joker smile pun) 🧚🏻♀️
Also, his producer Tommee Proffit did a bts on producing this song youd enjoy. Its really freaking cool about the cinematic score.. and also a clip of bts of the traffic scene showing how Real it was bc hey #nfrealmusic
