Had the pleasure of seeing them open for Biffy in Glasgow Green last September. What a front man! He sang a song that . . . Now I want to get a tattoo off him 😅😅 but yeh. Much as I love The Rattlesnakes, this record will always be my favourite effort of his.

In my opinion bad words are used in so many songs nowadays it isnt worth hiding it from your kids so as long as they arnt repeating them it wouldnt bother me. Sounds like they have good taste though ;)
Lewis Taglialavore LOL but thats the point. They do repeat them. Its up to the parents to set an example. We all swear casually these days. As long as you know when it isn't acceptable to swear and where it is more acceptable then that should be okay, and this should be taught by parents. Thing is these days, the media plays a huge role in how kids are raised seeing as a lot of stupid parents sit their kids in front of a tv/ smart phone etc. and let them raise themselves.
2022 and still love this band. I recall seeing them twice once with Frank (opening for AFI) and then with the new singer right after a hurricane hit. People still went and because of them I got to see barn burner 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽misery fucking loves me but I love her more
Was Frank a major part of Gallows? Most say he was the biggest part. I saw them live a few months ago and Wade put every ounce of sweat and heart into his performance. Did it sound like Frank? No where near it, BUT it was one of the best performances I have ever seen. Played in the crowd just like the old Gallows. People went nuts knocking down the barricade to the stage. That's what Gallows truly stands for. They will always be my favorite no matter how many line up changes they go through.
Every time I hear any new Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes song I come here to remind how good he used to be before he sold out to pop music… today is one of those days!
He never sold out, lol he made Pure Love and it was nothing compared to Gallows, he never sold himself he still tattooing and doing the Rattlesnakes stuff man, what you know?
Joe Yeates Metal originated from hardcore punk and punk rock bands so before any of these metalheads even knew what metal was punk rock was the most brutal before metal even existed
uhhhh no it did not originate from hardcore punk, hardcore punk is fairly new in comparison to metal. metal definitely did get influence fromPUNK as well as multiple other genres including jazz and the blues, but it did NOT originate from HARDCOREpunk
I hope you realise that thrash metal bands like Slayer for example (who influenced the whole metal scene after) drew major influence from hardcore bands right? You are right that the old metal like Black Sabbath wasn't influenced by hardcore but eveyrthing that came after Slayer, Metallica etc and was influenced by thrash metal is essentially influenced by hardcore punk.
GALLOWS rules! 2012 flying drunk in the Lincoln Continental 99' across NE with the babe. Lighting up a butt and ripping through the dark winter. Love her
I'm a Brit who's lived in Canada for the last 6 years and I've seen so much about this band on my mates facebook pages but never thought to listen to them as i thought they'd just be another cookie cutter hardcore band. I can see from the first 2 lines of this song why this band is so popular. Because he actually keeps his accent when he sings. unlike every other British hardcore band out there that just try to sound American.
its been so long since i heard this song !!!! might have to book another tattoo appointment after seeing this video !!!! love the traditional tats they have !!!
At the time of this record, Gallows were at the top of their art. They had become one of my favourite bands then. Epic videos like this one only supported the overall great image. They should not have parted ways with their singer. The selftitled follow-up to "Grey Britain" was a very good record, too, but after that the remaining Gallows guys could not reach that quality anymore. I'm still hoping for a reunion with Frank Carter one day.
have been listening to this whole album. wow incredible. these guys just made the list. if you haven't yet start at song one from the grey Britain album and try not to finish it. again wow
You think of all the songs ever written and this song has to have one of the most meanest bass lines ever recorded on this planet....But then again The Stranglers.
Growing up as a US kid I didn't fully get where these songs were coming from. I loved the energy, but now as an adult I understand the politics and all the bullshit that comes with being a UK citizen. The mighty have fallen. I pray for them.
It's just hard to accept the fact that Frank is gone and someone from a band that plays entirely different music is taking up that position. People like Frank can't be replaced. He poured his heart and soul into his music to get his point across. I'm not a huge fan of Wade to be honest but if you are then that's respectable.
The term "ghetto" is considered a very USA centric thing... I think the UK has grown to understand what it means to have ghettos forced on them. It isn't fun.
matthew pheasant Yet he is currently recording with another band, I believe. I may be incorrect, but I do believe he is currently setup with a new gig...along with a new face tattoo.
Gallows were my pick of Sonisphere, caught them by accident and thought 'who the hell are these guys!?' stayed for the duration and was mesmerised. They were everything a punk band should be - angry, pissed off & playing if their lives depended on it. Had to go back and tell all my mates after Sonisphere. Am honoured to have seen them. Gav the 40 year old.
tune, best modern punk band, heavy yet really catchy, too many bands just try to make heavy music without there being any form of song involved. this hits both on the head
i respect frank even more because of his honesty and integrity. he left when he felt that was all he could give, he didn't bs, he didn't milk it. he has proven himself again with pure love. 'burning love' really touches the soul. and i'm glad he's singing more now because he has a beautiful, honest voice. i grieve for the old gallows because i feel as if not enough of the world got to know them but maybe that's what makes it that much more special. i'm not trying to piss on new gallows CONT.
Glad I saw them at sonisphere 2010 and 2011. Both times were crazy, 2010 was in a tent and there was a circle pit going out of one door and back in the other! And some dude crowd surfed in a wheelchair. 2011 there was a circle pit that went all the way around the sound booth!
Still after 10-11 years still in my daily play list love Frank in the gallows or rattle snakes 👌

This was one of the better big hardcore bands to come out of the era. This record is great.
this band took the best of the core genre (breakdowns) and fused it with nasty hardcore punk and it is just beautiful omfg
