Yeah, this is definitely not a replacement. It’s a fake diner. high prices. Closes at 10 PM. The other locations are in Times Square and Broadway, it’s a tourist spot.
I think that place used to be Tequila Grande. It relocated to Oakton where Bob Evans was. And it’s (Tequila Grande) is now called Mama Tigre. I’m a native of the Vienna area.
This used to be the bank. Tequila grand was across the street. They tore it down finally a year or more ago and right now it’s still that empty corner lot. The Bob Evans became mama Tigre, which is no relation.
I will try to make a trip to the Carnegie diner this summer
Have you made it to Chutzpah Deli near fair oak mall? Also the italian store right behind Carnegie Diner is great too
Not yet, this place is a diner, not a deli. And the sandwich I had was good but I’ve had way better. I def gotta go to Chutzpah
I love their Reuben, although to be fair I haven’t been in about a decade.
ive driven past there but never noticed it. how it compare to santini's?
I LOVE Santinis, been there 50 times. Only been here one time and only had 1 sandwich, but I'm choosing Santinis all day.
Im still heartbroken over Amphora being closed down.

Amphora is still over in Herndon. A bit further out but worth it.

@@DMVAdventures I’m not sure what you mean by no relation. Mama Tigre even says that they used to be Tequila Grande.
