About the song:
When I started working on it the first thing I thought of was to look for new electric guitars, partly because I keep using Dis. Guitar '94 too much, but mostly because the guitars in the song have a unique sound and I wanted to use something different from what I generally use. I ended up using the guitars from Alien Soldier, which are surprisingly harmonious despite bieng super noisy. The other instruments fell into place one after the other: the bass I used (from Thunder Force IV) was low and gravely to not stand out too much but still have an impact on the song, then I decided to use an FM kick because as samples they weren't loud or strong enough to stand out under the overall loudness, and finally, the solo guitar had to be high-pitched and loud to overpower the other guitars. I don't remember exactly when I picked the Sonic synth I used, but I remember I used it because Sonic synths usually sound very good in whatever context they're used, and also because it could turn from that heart signal shape to sine wave and that worked really well at the end of the song. And that's basically it, fortunately it was simple to cover, even if adjusting the FM might've taken its sweet long ass time. All the instruments are from Thunder Force IV, with the exception of the Sonic synth and the Alien Soldier electric guitar.
I covered this song because it was my favorite from the series, and there's not A SINGLE JOJO GENESIS COVER in all of TH-cam, so it is my duty to fill that gap. I'm pulling your leg, I just like the music and had an excuse to try out new instruments that maybe I could then use for other soundtracks I'm working on. I might do more JoJo covers in the future, probably just the opening themes.
