I have a list of 6, mostly cheapskates. The 120 proof Open Doors from J Mattingly ($120, gift for me). Then the Green River Full Proof on sale for $40. Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey, 90 proof for $32. 100 proof Coopers' Craft for $35, since their barrel factory in Louisville is closing it might be gone soon. The 100 proof Early Times for $27 in second place, for the blue top in a liter bottle. First place for me is 100 proof Old Grand-Dad for $22, for its citrus and nut flavor and how it makes me feel the next few hours and the next morning after 2 to 3 shots, at 65 years old. Maybe just pure luck it somehow goes well with my liver compared to other budget bangers. The 114 is not as good for me, after buying a whole bottle to try.
Those are some solid budget picks 🥃. Seems like you may like the Brown-Forman profile. The Early Times is one of my favorite pours in my bar. I only have the Plastic Tops currently. The Green River may have made it into the top 24 but I have a single barrel. I left all my store picks and single barrels out of the running as I wanted my list to be somewhat findable and from 2024.
