    I swear that shot of all those tents reminded me of echo park lake, just for a moment. Great video!

    So glad I found this video, I started a few other videos of this hike but I don’t think everyone takes the time to really show the views like you do. Appreciated, nice job!

    @Sheety33 awesome video btw! I’m thinking of doing a solo backpacking to Thousand Island Lake this year, Oct.2020. So this video is very helpful... Thank you!

    Last time I hiked to Thousand Island Lake was 1977 with our church youth group. I was a junior in high school. We made it into a two week trip and made the lake our base camp.

    Hi, thanks for video(s). A small group of us are going in the fall as well. Given the number of times you’ve done this route, I was wondering if you might offer some advice:
    1. Do you normally see quite a few people camping there? In your video it looked like there were at least 4/5 tents. Is that the norm (on average)?
    2. Have you seen any bear activity in the campsite? I assume you follow the Bermuda Triangle method for your campsite?
    Thank you for any info you can provide?

    Question, when you booked your permit, which trailhead did you pick for your entry point?

    What were the still shots of the Minarets taken with? They are pretty awesome.... you should use a gimbal when walking.... all the movement gave me car sickness.... : (

    Really enjoy your videos. You go to all the places I look forward to seeing. We are doing this same trip in August plus a night at Minaret Lake. Where have overnight parked when you hike out of Agnew or Devils Postpile?

    • @Sheety33
      @Sheety33  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike Berretta thank you! Minaret Lake is gorgeous, especially in August. I park either up top along the ski resort highway or Agnew Meadows.

    Wow, you really conveyed the sheer beauty of the High Sierras in your video. On average, how many pounds do you carry in your backpack? How many miles did you hike on this route?

    • @Sheety33

      Anywhere from 15 to 20 pounds and miles 🤠

    Hi! There. I have see you been to the Ansel Adams wilderness alot. Do what is the snow ❄ condition early June??

    • @Sheety33
      @Sheety33  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question as this really depends on snow accumulation over the winter/spring. Best way to determine if conditions are suitable is to call the local rangers office and see if they have trail conditions details.

    Seemed to be a ton of tents in the campground. Was that a group site or ?

    • @Sheety33
      @Sheety33  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Christopher Bishop I was surprised to see them all, too! No group sites out there but they had all congregated in the same spot - kind of spoils the peacefulness of the trip.

    VERY SAD....One thing I never see on anyone's hiking videos... JMT/PCT/CDT/AT whatever.... nobody ever says THANK YOU to the people who volunteer to work on the trails to keep them in the good condition they are so we can enjoy a walk in the wilderness.... these people do it on their own time, not paid..... They are why you enjoy your hikes. I for one say GOOD ON YOU AWESOME PEOPLE!!!
