The words of Gypsy are full of wisdom, good instincts and priceless expertise. Defense is truly what it's all about in the civilian, urban life, not attack, chasing and biting the sleeve!
ROAK and Lori are amazing!! Wonderful interview. I've waited for years to buy a puppy from them and am finally getting mine this year. I am so thankful for the companion and protector my kids and myself.
I have a Bandog he's huge at 14 months old. He's very hesitant with strangers on the property. But when I take him in the public like the pet store he behaves himself. Naturally he follows me around the house and sits where I stop. He's good with children he knows not to jump on kids. Super smart and aggressive when he needs to be. but I don't want aggressive dog to look cool I want a dog that's protective if somebody comes in my house and that's it. I don't want to liability that have to worry about the dog gets out he's automatically going to bite somebody.. great interview I'm definitely going to buy this guy's book.. always love this breed
this is an absolutely incredible success story! you guys rock! i wish the Cane Corso could have pulled this off to this day you cant find a consistent kennel or line.. well done and i could not agree with the points made in this video more.
@@tonymarinelli7304 unfortunately the majority of the American dogs are not actually Cane Corso and yes there are more and more health issues coming all the time sadly.

I would be happy to transcribe a book by these two.. On a side note, i can understand why they wouldn't feel like anything needs to be added to the canis panther breed.. but i think i have good reason to want to add it to something. . A random genetics question though- wouldn't the dog likely have brindle genes in there (especially with staff being involved) that are being masked by the more dominant colour pattern genes for solid colour and black & tan?
Wow someone who knows what wtf is going on Thank-you brother i went to dog school in the military so method is right on point. I have American bulldog. I would love to talk to you more my number is 425 306 9531 please text me my name Bobby
One thing is they have been breeding it out for this breed, they don't want any of that brindle or merle stuff going on even tho it's genetically very possible, the canis panther is very unhealthy as it is with these breeders but at least they're avoiding color breeding
@@marshallsstuff337 i dont think it's actually possible to breed out brindle, only to breed dominant coat patterns to cover it, if i understand the way those genetics work. Now, i might not, i aint any kinda pro, i just try and read and understand.

I’m interested in a few different breeds: Sivas Kangal, Dogo Argentino, Presa Canario, and the Canis Panther. I own a 2 year old femal German Shepherd, she is a little protective mostly just raising her har...but most of the time she’s just a goofball even around total strangers.. I’d like a dog that’s more defensive, alert and powerful even if no action has to be taken. Any opinions welcome
You Shepherd is all the protection you need, trust me. When the time comes, she'll be there. The real intelligent breeds are only fierce when they have to be.
the only thing I will say is that I'm extremely disappointed in how they do absolutely NO health testing. None whatsoever and for having Dobermann, Labrador and Great Dane, knowing full well there's health issues within those breeds, just makes me sad. 🙃 beautiful dogs, but I will respectfully pass
Is there a way of getting in contact with this kennel, very interested in the canis panther but their website doesn’t look too legit? Contact details for yourself if possible as well as I’d like to discuss the breed with you also is possible. Thanks!
My fear is that when gypsy and his wife pass away this original breed will go extinct. I pray they pass the knowledge and the torch on to someone trusted to keep the breed going
I cannot tell you how much i enjoy listening to a real Soldier and Survivor, thank you Brother for sharing all your hard work!

I love this defense perspective. It’s real life, not sport or police etc like he said.
Dog breeds that excel in sport and especially as police/MWDs have very strong defensive drives or they wouldn't succeed in their roles.
