Hopefully you'll never have to deal with the emissions sensors dying. Puts the truck completely out of commission and they cost thousands of dollars a piece to replace. No more Sprinter vans in my future.
This is why I bought a pre 2007 sprinter. I heard warnings about the emissions systems on Ncv3 sprinters.
Smart thinking - I’ll have to do some research, because other than that, they’re not bad.
@@RunNGunPhoto 2004-2006 seem to be the picks but the 2002-2003s are still good. Anything before that is not usually available in NA. At work, we have a small fleet of 2005/06 Sprinters. One with 470k miles, another with 410k miles, and another with 290k miles that's about to get sold as a camper vans. I love driving them! Plan on getting my own short roof/140" wb as soon as I can afford.

Finals for the contest was decided by a panel of judges

Yeup, that was to get into the finals. I placed top ten by daily votes, and from there it went to a panel of judges to decide finalist in which I got 2nd place.
Winnipeg? Wickedly cold in the winter. My parents were from there (not even warm in the summer!)

I've got the same former fedex sprinter 2005 and it's getting rust like crazy.. man
It’s the biggest issue for me as well. I need to figure out a massive solution soon
Try getting them under coated when you get them. It will save the frame and you get it applied each year. OR buy the fluid film kit and keep at it.

I told you about those catalytic converters in a comment from a past video a while back. When you have time to get it fix. Please let me know what it cost you. I spent a fortune on my sprinter.
I know, and I told you my tail pipe had cracked off. Not the catalytic yet. Then the catalytic cracked off in front from the turbo down pipe, and then it fell off all together as I just showed.
You need to change your mechanic. That's the type of stuff they would be able to tell you when they do your oil change and/or tire rotation. A quick glance under the truck to check for deterioration is just good customer service.
Do yourself a favor and do not put another cat and DPF under there. Just get a pipe fitter to make you and exhaust and get a tune from a reputable tuner. While it's not legal, it's 100% more logical, economical and ecological than changing vans or putting in a 4-5k$ system on a 2000$ van...

His van doesn't have a DPF. A new muffler and cat wouldn't be that expensive.
Leftcoast my point still stands. Going straight pipe would be less trouble and cheaper than sinking alot $ on an old van. Just trying to help you but go ahead and laugh it off but when your mechanic misses another major thing maybe you'll get it...
