Not everyone speak English westerner 🙄 such a brainrot opinion and mindset. Imagine your native language being called “gatekeeping” by other language speakers even tho it’s their skill issue for not knowing your language
I was searching for something like this to enhance my reading capabilities, i am studying japanese at the moment by myself and having something that can help ease you into reading the language is really convenient. 有難うございます!
I have tried over half a dozen programs at this point, and non of them can translate any of the games I play. None of them can understand the text they are looking at, so I just get garbage. I will sadly have to stick to pointing my phone at the screen, and waving my hand in front of the lens whenever there is new text to refresh it, b/c google lens is the only program able to understand text that's not black on a white background. Guess I should just invest in a phone stand so It stops falling down. (Yes I also tried google translate in an emulator but it refuses to update the text its looking at)
what I do so far is put realtime translation with google lens with my phone pointed at screen. I'm trying yandex now after seeing this video. because google lens keeps the translated text showing untill you point the camera away and point again at the new text, so it is little bit of hassle to keep pointing away and refocus when new text comes up on the screen. I hope they come uip with full english version, but I know it must a ton of work for them to do so.
well, i'm trying to play a japanese-only Gameboy Advance game on an emulator, and i couldn't get the ones i tried out to translate it properly. Any recommendations on pixelated japanese?
Fullscreen since capturing in games2text would be much clearer than windowed mode, but you also have to deal with being tabbed out. If you really want windowed mode, make it as big as possible

game2text is so random. it will perfectly translate a 3 lines sentence, and the next one will be "lgA‘II-‘V ` 895““- ・" Same OCR settings-
Yeah, a hard reboot of the software is needed when that happens
I just ended using my phone with google translate, the "image translate" works like a charm :)

Global version may be coming soon since KR and CN is already announced. I'll give it like half a year to a year before we hear anything about global

Game2Text should be fine, However, if the text is too small, the software might not be able to read it

I found that uploading images to google translate gives me a way better translation than game2text but it's annoying to upload them manually.
