I recently spoke with an immigration lawyer and they told me they recently changed the rules for QSWP in which I MUST speak French... so now I only qualify for Family Sponsorship.

I recently completed my WES ECA evaluation and I am worried about the fact that I found my type of degree study to be rated zero on the area of training part. Does it mean My WES evaluation is useless?

Hi Biba, thanks for this video. If the principal applicant is the only one that has french proficiency, can the spouse/partner that has only English also need french language test or IELTS is okay?
Hi Eva- it is NOT compulsory for the supporting applicant to have French, however, the S.A has the opportunity to get some points if they do take the French exams. The more points the better!

NOT a MUST- but having French will greatly improve your chances . This stream is a point based streams- you'll get points for several factors - there's the possibility of getting points in other areas but there's 16 points for grabs if you have French. That's alot !

TEF is enough (16 points for grabs with TEF. There's also 6 points for grabs with the IELTS if you consider taking it

PR is a long way but I think you should apply for skilled visa it may work.

Hello Dayo- Alliance Francais is a good place to consider. They have centers in different states and cities . And they have classes to prepare people for the French Tests
Also Dayo, if you're thinking of Quebec and Quebec only- the province accepts other forms of French exams such as DELF/DALF

* for Quebec you can take the Delf/Dalf- but you won't be able to use it for the federal stream. So is you have your sight set on Quebec then you can use this.
* Having a second language test gives you extra points. It's NOT compulsory but it's gives some points
