I know Mayu's usually cheery, but there was definitely a different look in her eyes for this entrance. NJPW doesn't often do right by women, but giving Mayu her flowers with that belt was 100% the best thing they could have done. She's the GOAT and should be recognized as such. Her defenses since winning have been sparse, but absolute bangers. Her Utami and Syuri matches were some of the best title matches we've seen in the last year.

too bad this match is the shortest on the card and i dont see mone doin anything special in the ring but i get the storyline, the pay off from mayu in the ring n showing mercedes that she is the icon of stardom
Mone has never cut a decent promo. She's average in the ring, which isn't to say she hasn't had some good matches in the past. But the Japanese girls outshine her in every aspect.
