John's theories lead to a conclusion about Eduardo's death as Lily is caught between Damian's recovery and Mark's affection. Meanwhile Hal and Barbara remain estranged and Dani is fixated on Jeremy. In this episode:

She graciously offered to leave in the last year so that Martha Byrne could return, but the show (Chris Goutman I guess) said no. Jon Hensley said that it was very hard playing his last, emotional scenes, without Martha as Lily, but that Beck tried to support him. I thought that was classy.
I thought that nurse was Janice at first. That would have been a great twist.
Dani's "duh" faces are very annoying.
I didn't realize Nikki called Hal "Munson". I'd forgotten.
To think by January Mark/Lily and the Nikki/Jeremy/Dani story were long forgotten.
I loved Susan's initial disbelief that Orlena could have framed John. How long had she been in Oakdale again?
The Damian scenes in this are good. He was finding his footing, acting-wise, in those last months.
Nicole Beck was a class act. She knew the show was ending, and us older fans would much rather see the originals. She went to Goutman and volunteered to step aside, Let Martha return. Goutman couldn't have cared less. I was never a BIG Lily /Holden fan, but this was disgusting. Also Hunt block as anyone, made me stop watching. He Goutman had the opporatunity to have the show end on a happy note ,for the loyal fans. he shoved in the knife and twisted it. What a scum bag.
It was hard to watch without Martha Byrne. But the current regime had already stabbed her in the back and characteristically decided to twist the knife.
Janice, yes! That would have been a cherry on top.
