Gotta say I'm a lot less worried about visiting America. From what I can tell the average gun owner can't shoot straight at a stationary target to save their lives, let alone a moving target like myself. Kinda puts it into question why they own them to begin with.
at that range with such a small target ? seem like its normal to miss no ? No one aims for the head to begin with, and guess what ? your body is hell lot of bigger than your head . dont take my word for it, though-I’ve never touched a gun in my life, I’m just using common sense
#4 buckshot might be more representative of shrapnel (obviously shooting from closer than 50 yards). But 9mm at 50 yards is actually a pretty fair test since it’ll have lost about a third its energy by then. A lot of these tests I see done at very close range, maybe around 5-10 yards.

Well, the reason for the distance is so that, if it does ricochette, it won't go anywhere near them. 9mm and .45 ACP won't ricochette directly back and, even if it were to ever do that - it loses about 2/3 of its energy once it ricochettes
27:00 that’s pretty much exactly the issue. The Kevlar should be ripping out if there’s penetration cause that’s it trying to stop the round. It just punching straight through is a sign it’s not even trying to stop the bullet.

I served from 97-05, when is anyone coming at me with a damn knife or bayonet?
*we were issued modern plate carriers in 01 and Kevlar inserts.
I'm jealous asf of your weather from just 2 states above. Not only winter freezing & dead, but the gulf stream makes almost every single day in east tennessee either rain/snow if not just cloudy every single day. I belong where you are bro. Just simply 100% lol
Glad the lack of eye pro was handled in the first clip at 1:47 It really takes one slip for something bad to happen, and clearly someone caught it.
Jfc you kids and your obsession with being bubble wrapped to go outside
Not even 2 mins into the video, and gotta give some friendly shooting advice. Try not to close one eye when aiming. Having both eyes open is where you get most of your depth perception, allowing the shooter to be more accurate. While it's tricky to understand how the sights work at first, you'll feel much more confident in your ability to hit a target. Love you guys ❤
Cheap vs expensive encyclopedias next
I doubt you'll ever see this, Charlie, but you have brought me much joy over all these years. idek how many years I've even been watching at this point. I just wanted to say you're doing amazing things. You bring awareness to important things, have extremely cold takes every time and You make me laugh and smile with your humor. I don't even care if you read this because I'' be donating on stream and idec if you notice me then, because this isn't about that. It never was. I just want to express my gratitude for you and this channel. you deserve every single sub, like and dollar you've earned from all of the time you've put in. Never stop doing what you do. and just to prove how genuine I mean this, don't even reply, don't even like it. just read it and smile, if you end up seeing this. You deserve it.
I look forward to SO MANY YEARS watching you. Sometimes I just binge things I've arleady watched too, because you never fail at lifting me up with your hilarious remarks and references while simultaneously making smart points.
You think you're dumb, I've heard you say it, but you think with no bias, you explain things you have opinions on and you're very intelligent even for that alone. Knowledge is one thing, sure, but I'm pretty sure you're right about everything you say, even if it's subjective, because you always take the considerate route, the thoughtful and caring route and you just do much bigger things than you even realize.
You alone are one of the biggest reasons I breathe, not in a creepy way, you just lift me up every single video. You help get me through the day, you help me treat others how they should be treated, you inform me, you make me laugh.
I'll stop expressing my gratitude as I don't want to look weird, but my whole point with all of this is: I really appreciate you and am thankful you do what you do, just like 99.9% of your subs I'm sure. Hope you have an absolutely amazing year next year
Ops core helmets are the golden standard. To be honest having a rifle caliber rated helmet is not worth it.
they don’t make rifle caliber helmets, atleast not according to this comment section
@@Dr.GregHouse There are some but it's not what is generally used because they become heavy and uncomfortable.
@@Dr.GregHousethe diamond age bastion is/was supposed to be rifle-rated, though it was only available to military customers and the company rebranded to Adept armor. There's also the Highcom RCH and the SLAP plates for the Opscore helmets, which are both rated for certain rifle rounds.
@@Dr.GregHouseThey exist and are purchasable, but they are very expensive and heavy, and a handful of them you can’t buy without credentials.
@@Dr.GregHousethey do but theyre not typically given out on a widespread basis like a normal combat helmet due to a mixture of multiple things mostly cost, weight and oftentimes those helmets can muffle noise heavily
9:55 'good sights' *didn't hit once*
lol. Sneako wouldn’t even need to Matrix dodge
Should have been an opscore ore some more high end helmet instead of sketchy hhv. Happy guntube is getting positive exposure tho. 🔥
Its official, Charlie is a GunTuber now
Charlie not wearing eyes when he shoots the handgun the first time kills me
I was honestly surprised because he spends a decent amount of time at the range.
Time to try this out with my skull and a baseball helmet
Helmets are more made to protect from shrapnel instead of bullets
11:40 mat is such a national tressure. "Dad stop!!" had me laughing
AEW wrestler Malakai black is gun expert, I didn’t know that.
Thank u for getting rid of that larper "Rex" (super special secret forces). Lol. I like the new, actual, expert.
*Charlie with the teacup grip is so cute 😂😂.
I don't know who's responsible for the editing choices here, but they need a raise.

"Do not try this at home" Aww, I was just about to see if I'd get a Darwin Award nomination 😔.
Never in my life did I expect my favourite wrestler to be so chill irl
Now either I'm crazy or that's Malakai Black from AEW. Which if it is, how tf did this collab happen?
It is him
this is one my favorite videos you’ve ever posted, love the format, outdoor stuff is cool
John wick is testing out helmets for his next movie 😂

Why yall just randomly with my goat of wrestling 😂
Dude something about the way this video was edited just makes me so happy!! Thanks Charlie for making my day.
It's Aliester Black
i was wondering why he looked so familiar lmao
18:54 "This is my safety" Love the Black Hawk Down reference!
Bulletproof helmet situation is crazy
😐
This 'crazy situation' situation is crazy.
Charlie is out here once again showing Sneako what a mag looks like xD
Hate to say it, helmets are mostly to protect against impacts and rubble things of that like, the "bulletproof" aspect is more of a last resort because if someone is shooting at your head, chances are they're gonna aim for your face...or center mass
An anti-bullet helmet would certainly _cover more of your head and face._
Pretty much all modern helmets are NIJ IIIA level, so capable of stopping common handgun rounds. Than there are helmets which are more of NIJ III which can stop some rifles.
@@Stop_Gooning Ever tried running with a regular helmet on? Or literally anything covering your face? There's a reason we don't use them
Dang i just started watching your videos and you really just post whatever tf you want no ryme or reason just what ever you want to do and i love it!!
Is that Malakai black?
Huh bulletproof helm...... HOLY SHIT IS THAT MALAKAI BLACK!?
Sneako wouldn’t stand a chance
matt looks like a seasoned vet with these firearms lol i love being his 1 (of many) fans
What they dont know or understand is that there are NO helmets that are rated for higher than 3A - 9mm, .45, and .357. You'd need at least level 3 to stop any type of 5.56 and we just haven't found a way to develop them yet where they won't be waaay too heavy.
I wouldn’t say no lvl 3 helmets, but they usually involve add-ons and are pretty impractical. Like the diamond age bastion, hhv up armor, x-shell, ops-core slaap, etc.
Wrong. Rifle rated helmets have been out for several years. But they are heavy and expensive.
Just a humble human asking for drone coverage
Like super troopers where they’re testing out the vests on themselves
Bulletproof Cup 😂
@ haha yeaaaaa thats what it was. “Oh that little guy, I wouldn’t worry about that little guy”
That's kick ass not super troppers bongbrains
A little disappointed the s&w 500 didn't make an appearance. Still 7/10, a good time for the whole family.
Hopefully the 500 shows up for round 2. 500 grain or it doesn't count. Performance center is a nail driver

the hold on that gun @5:28 is diabolical
"while wearing them"
I'd recommend an Ops Core or a Team Wendy over the HHV helmet, those might fare better in testing

Nah he still uses it for his simple vids

Its so crazy how you can instantly tell the level of training, or lack thereof, based on their stance/ how they hold the gun when shooting.

Some high speeds will run with non ballistics helmets for bump protection and mounting NODS. They're extra light and in some missions, are the best option.
Gotta say I'm a lot less worried about visiting America. From what I can tell the average gun owner can't shoot straight at a stationary target to save their lives, let alone a moving target like myself. Kinda puts it into question why they own them to begin with.
You ever shot a gun?
Oh buddy don't let some TH-cam streamer dipshits give you false confidence. This is not the standard lmfao. But by all means fuck around and find out
If you don’t live in like 7 certain big cities there’s an extremely high chance you’ll be fine.
at that range with such a small target ? seem like its normal to miss no ?
No one aims for the head to begin with, and guess what ? your body is hell lot of bigger than your head .
dont take my word for it, though-I’ve never touched a gun in my life, I’m just using common sense
what a weird comment
#4 buckshot might be more representative of shrapnel (obviously shooting from closer than 50 yards). But 9mm at 50 yards is actually a pretty fair test since it’ll have lost about a third its energy by then. A lot of these tests I see done at very close range, maybe around 5-10 yards.
These are the real questions we all need answers to. “Will this temu ballistic helmet save me?”
Charlie and team
This video is proof that yall need to go to the range regularly
Its a depreciable skill that you must keep working on to get better and better.
I say this as someone who hasnt trained for 4 years because it wasnt financially possible.

That camera work was horrible, especially at the end! Instead of going in close & rapidly going from person to person try a wider shot & getting everyone in. I literally got nauseous from her moving the camera so fast. 🤢

literally just checked and they are even MORE than what they said so idk what you are on about

Yes they do
@@Shall0e I don't know what you guys are looking at but legit ballistic helmets do not cost over 7K. Anything over 2K you're paying for comfort at that point. And I'm going by USD. They don't even cost that in AUD.
@@Roejoegan What helmet are you looking at that costs over 7K?
Now this is great content!!! Can never ever go wrong with shooting things!!!!
AM I THE ONLY ONE WORRIED ABOUT ONE OF THESE HELMETS ACTUALLY BEING BULLETPROOF AND RICOCHETING BACK INTO THEIR HEADS? sometimes i forget charlie is a florida man, 2:47
Well, the reason for the distance is so that, if it does ricochette, it won't go anywhere near them. 9mm and .45 ACP won't ricochette directly back and, even if it were to ever do that - it loses about 2/3 of its energy once it ricochettes
Yes. Yes you are.
Yes you are. That’s not going to happen
Seeing Malakai on your channel was a surprise, I didn't know he was a gun enthusiast, he is a great wrestler too.
Never knew Aleister Black was into guns, that's pretty cool.
27:00 that’s pretty much exactly the issue. The Kevlar should be ripping out if there’s penetration cause that’s it trying to stop the round. It just punching straight through is a sign it’s not even trying to stop the bullet.
Malikai black and Charlie is a collab I never knew I needed
I love that you do whatever you want
my guy needed to empty 2 mags to get 1 hit on the helmet. brother, it's ok to move up 20 paces lol
