Thank you for taking the time to show your entire process. Even the parts where you showed that you were human, made your video all the more relatable to me. When I am working on a project, there's so much going on, that I often lose place of where I've put things as well, and I'm not great at math either. In a world where everything is edited into perfection, it's refreshing to see the unedited "real" process.
This was so helpful! I have had TERRIBLE problems dressing my loom until now. I have a wolf pup loom, and I figured out a way to mount the raddle over the heddles (had to macgyver it) and beamed on using your procedure. This worked perfectly and my tension on this project has been wonderful all the way through. Thank you!!
Great video! I'm so pleased that someone is more mathematically challenged than I am! ;) I mainly do it to prevent errors in striped warps, but I print out a color-coded strip that I tape to the castle to remind me of the yarn color and the widths of stripes. Alternatively, I use white artist's tape (it's not too sticky) to mark the width in the reed. Anything to avoid mismeasurement! I like the LeClerc's castle-mounted raddle. I made a raddle with nails-in-a-board for my recently purchased (but ancient) counterbalance loom. I clamp it to the back beam, but I'm going to try the castle, LeClerc style. I'm also going to try the books-on-the-warp-on-the-floor! That's brilliant!
Hi France, here is a link where you'll find a document that we posted on JST on how to dress your loom. Hope this helps! janestaffordtextiles.com/knowledge-base/warping-janes-way/
Wow thank you so much for this video, am waiting on my first floor loom a Schacht Wolf pup and was wondering how you used a raddle with not being on back beam...perfecto.👍
Thank you so much for this video. It is so helpful. I would like to know where can I get the sectional warp beam adaptor that you are using. I never saw one of these, it look as if it could fit almost any loom )mine is very small) I would like to get one for my loom. I live in Israel, it’ll have to be a store that ships to Israel… Thanks again!
Hi Jane, I am a newbie to the world of weaving. Just got my first loom it is a nilus leclerc loom with sectional warp weaving, do you show us how to use this method?
it would help if you were just a little more organized. It's frustrating when I am trying to follow your method and then you can't find the piece of paper on which you have the width written down.
Holy smokes. She was filming live when she did this out of kindness for the sake of people locked down during covid, and it remained free for you to access. Consider it a blooper on live TV.

Jane, you justify the internet’s existence with every video.
Great stuff 😁
You make it seem so simple and easy.

This was soooo helpful to see how you did it by yourself!

How many yards of Texsol cord ?or is that just cotton string/cord?
Hi there, you can use any kind of string/cord that you have on hand for the lashing :)
