I was at both of the Glastonbury performances in 2008 and this one was much better. The Pyramid stage was great but the crowd was too big and most people didnt know Manu Chao but the next day this concert on the Jazz World Stage was more intense and much like a concert for fans of Manu Chao. I have never seen this footage until today ... thanks for the upload
I wasn't there but just watched both shows in youtube and couln't agree more! I been in many Manu's shows and this one feels a bit more what his shows really are.
Saw him in 2007 at Brixton Academy. Both dates sold out in 10 mins so they added a 3rd. Luckily I secured tickets for the final night. Was the most energetic and explosive gig I’ve ever been to, with so much love and unity in the room. Watching these performances from circa that time gives me goosebumps. I’ve been lucky enough to see him a couple more times, but not in as confined and congested venues. The synchronised jumping and dancing that night must have measured on the recto scale! ✊
Only just discovered this... I was there. I'd never heard of Manu Chao. It was one of the best Glastonbury experiences of over 20 years of Glastonbury experiences. Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY front to back, was going nuts for the whole show, particularly us - amazing memories, thanks for posting!
