    This was so helpful! Thank you, and also, your drawing style is so beautiful!
    Ps: another thing that I love about your art is the way you draw clothes, so I would really appreciate if you could do a video on that.

      @@PointebrushDear Margot, thank you for this video and other helpful tutorials! I absolutely love your channel! ❤ I painted my first ballerina yesterday inspired by your beautiful paintings. It turned out really pretty but her hands are a bit of proportion (one is longer than the other). The reason was that ballerina was moving and I couldn't draw it in a different position (at an angle) well. Do you have a video of sketching figures in movement?

    Love this! To take off on your idea; would male figures be more hefty or angular?

    • @Pointebrush
      @Pointebrush  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Exactly! Also the proportions would vary as well. Generally the box for the torso will be wider at the the shoulders like an upside down trapezoid (because guys have those broader shoulders that are wider than most women) and the arms tend to be thicker too... but again, it depends on the proportions of the figure you want to draw. Some guys will be more angular and some will be rounder and softer ;) lol

    This is brilliant! The am one of those people who say they can’t draw anything but stick figures - and I can do this! I found you because I received the Jeanne Haines Daniel Smith water color set for Christmas and was looking for related tutorials. Then I got hooked on your ballerinas - and happily subscribed! Thank you!

      Hi Terry! Welcome! and nice to "meet" you! I'm glad this tutorial made the idea of drawing people a little less scary. It's all about following the "recipe" and practice! Glad to have you along for the ride! 😘 xo

    This was so helpful! Your process makes figure drawing seem doable. I'm pretty good at sketching faces but figures are a challenge but I want to practice more using your system. I love ballet and have always wanted to paint ballerinas. I am primarily a watercolorist and have not tried gouache yet. Thank you for sharing your technique.

    Video I’ve been looking for in life! Thanks. I love children’s illustrations - is there a formula for proportions there or is it all whimsical? I’ve been desperate for an answer to this question 😢😢❤❤
