Thank you for giving this collection the video it deserves! I am a Pacific Northwest gal and I think they did such a beautiful job with the palette. I was in my early 30’s when the books and movies became popular but I read them all and saw all the movies with my husband who was my boyfriend at the time. I have such fond memories of this time in my life. 💙 I need to go back and read all the books now! And of course try again to buy the collection when it restocks.
Yes! I guess I understand why people wanted red, but what they did completely captured the mood and ambiance of the first book and movie, in my opinion, and it’s beautiful. I don’t think red or amber would have fit well with the palette in a practical fashion. The lip oil or another lip product could easily have given red to the collection, so I kinda wish they would’ve done that. Other than that, I think it’s perfect! If they end up doing a collection for each book/movie, it will make even more sense to have left out the red. ❤

Not a Twilight die-hard but I have seen the movies. What I do like about the films is the aesthetic which I think was nailed perfectly by Colourpop. It does speak to my vibe. I considered going for the black lip oil and now yours is the second really beautiful eye look I've seen with the palette. Hmm. I also completely agree on the inside of the palette....wish it was more trees or something instead of a movie scene, haha. It isn't a vampire palette it's literally a Twilight Movie palette. I think it's great. I hope they do one for each movie. Although I'm sure people will complain on all of them. 😂 The books are so much better and the movies don't really catch all the nuances of the books. But I went to all the premiers with my friend group. We had t-shirts made for every one of them. 😂 I was 30 though and didn't want to be a "cougar" 😂😂 so I was Team Carlisle. ETA I love the eye look! That's really pretty.
The only red I would’ve wanted was like their promo picture! I agree they shot themselves in the foot with that one. I personally want the bella Edward photo on the palette because let’s be honest we’re buying the collection for the twilight packaging and it’s a bonus the color story is nice! 💙
As much as I don’t let nostalgia and packaging influence my makeup purchases I really actually liked the palette and wanted to buy it. I didn’t expect for it to sell out as quickly as it did and I really hope they restock! Also I know you don’t like to create your own palettes unless you’re inspired but I’d really like to see what you would put together as a twilight inspired palette!

The chokehold the Twilight book series had on my friends and I from like 8th grade through my sophomore year. Ughh it was so good. I just remember New Moon was so sad.. and I was hella Team Edward at the time, like no question. On the other hand, I was SO mad about the movies when I was a teenager, I literally refused to watch them until I was like nearly in my 20s. It is almost so bad that it is good again.. iconic, hilarious. This color story isn’t for me but I wholeheartedly agree that it is perfect for the first movie. I didn’t love how they handled the launch, it gives me a bit of the ick unfortunately. They’d really be so smart to do a collection for each film. I agree that this palette captures the mood of the whole 1st movie. I'm a fan and watch the series once a year and have read it twice...so I say this as a fan...Twilight is such a B-movie. I live pretty close to Forks and the Olympic Peninsula. The area is so green with all the trees and blue from the ocean, lakes, streams, and sky. If you're ever here...go to Hurricane Ridge. It's breathtaking!

I mean can you imagine collections based on some of the fantasy series like the Mistborn trilogy or COTAR? Nuts! But I understand that movies reach more audiences. I actually thought of your vlog with the movie marathon when ColourPop sneak peaked the collab 😀 I'm not a big fan of the movies (haven't read the books) but I have watched them all a couple of times and I think ColourPop nailed it with the colorstory 😊 If I lived in the US I would most likely have bought the palette, highlighter and an oil (or at least tried to 🙈). About the oil not being a true red color... To me it would mean I would use it way more than a real pigmented red lip product, but I do agree with you that they shouldn't have made it look like a real red 😏

If, colourpop makes more collabs for the other films, then yes the color story does make sense for the first film. 💯. It would be cool if they could take new moon into a native American color scheme and later on do something leaning towards the Volturi and Rome. Like the reds and golds ...😊
I saw the complaints and i actually preferred the color story they went with. I think I was nervous it was going to be red and gray like all of the glamlite palettes that I was burnt out from that color story 😅 but obviously not that many people were complaining since everything sold out twice 😂 I didn’t get it but can appreciate it from afar
The look you did is gorgeous and it's making me feel like I wish they had made more of this so everyone who wanted it could have gotten it during the initial launch. How could they not realize how many people were going to want this palette (and more)? It takes SO long for me to get Colourpop orders shipped to me (opposite coast of where they are) so by the time they restock this will everyone still want it? I don't know. This video made me even more excited for my package to arrive! I love the color story because it’s not what we were expecting but it makes total sense for the colors in the movie. I feel most people think of like reds and black when it comes to vampires in general so I like that they went a different direction and the color story is so pretty imo 🤩 also I haven’t bought a Colourpop palette in a minute so I was curious the palette says there’s pearlescent glitters in it are those different from the pressed glitters? Are they eye safe? Does anyone know I don’t see anything on the website about it but I may have missed it.
There is only so much you can do with red black and white if it was based on the book. I love the color story i hope I’m able to get the pallet with the re stock.
I totally agree with the red. Sure, blood and red are the first thing we associate with vampires, but I think the colorstory matches the movie well. I feel with red added, it would feel more like part of the Glamlight Halloween collection and not really distinguish itself. 🌲🌲🌲🌳🌳🌳🌫
How would you say Vampire Skin compares to Flexitarian? That's my favorite highlighter in my collection and use it as a baseline for other highlighters and I'm so curious to see how they compare to each other
Great video and insights as usual, Betty Jean, thank you. Just FYI that ColourPop's site on launch day said Pearlescent Glitter was among the types of eyeshadow in the palette amd that's why i didn't buy the palette. Conspicuously, no ingredient list was yet posted, but the 2023 version of CP's PG was in fact real plastic glitter, just in a smoother formula. Plastic glitter is a hard No for me and i won't buy palettes with it unless it's a shade i know I'll never use anyway for color reasons. It's not just an environmental hazard but an eye safety one. Plastic glitter in the eye, yes, even cosmetic plastic glitters from CPand others, is a very scary situation, firsthand knowledge. UGH. Loved this palette but glitters in some of my fave shades is a NO.

I totally want each book/ movie to get their own collections. I would have bought the lux oil ….but it is coconut oil and my poor cat is allergic ( her ears puffed up to 2 or 3 times as thick as normal!😿). Probably just going to get the palette ( 2 , one for me one for a coworker ) and the highlighters .
My daughter loved the books. We watched the first movie for her. I felt like I'd lost a few brain cells, just watching it! That being said.. I am not the target audience for the series. The collection is actually really pretty. I might pick up a couple things.
I didn't see the first one in the theater but the rest i went to the midnight showing. I was incredibly disappointed in the first movie the first time i saw it, but now i love it.
I haven't been watching a lot of makeup content lately, but damn did I click this one fast🌲🛻 And though I do agree with not wanting it to be a rainbow palette, I really wish they would have given a nod to Bella's truck somewhere else in the collection (like instead of Bells, the lipgloss is Bella's Truck) since that is one of the most iconic scenes. But overall I love this collection and I absolutely need it!!
I am Team Garret! Team Jasper! Team Alice but Original Team Edward. I'd love if a New Moon was Neutrals wirh some warms....then Eclipse its my favorite of the books and movies cause it has more stories and more of Jasper so I'd be happy over all...and ai hope one of them does goes straight vamp pallette with the red, white and nlacks and Grey's and vamoy colors! I think it's kind if cool that if they DID do a picture it was this specific one since it's from the dream Stephanie Meyers had that inspired the book. Them laying in the meadow with all the lavender......I really DO hope they do more pallettes!pallette!. It be a missed opportunity for sure!

I'm not a big fan of the movies (haven't read the books) but I have watched them all a couple of times and I think ColourPop nailed it with the colorstory 😊 If I lived in the US I would most likely have bought the palette, highlighter and an oil (or at least tried to 🙈).
About the oil not being a true red color... To me it would mean I would use it way more than a real pigmented red lip product, but I do agree with you that they shouldn't have made it look like a real red 😏

If, colourpop makes more collabs for the other films, then yes the color story does make sense for the first film. 💯. It would be cool if they could take new moon into a native American color scheme and later on do something leaning towards the Volturi and Rome. Like the reds and golds ...😊

I saw the complaints and i actually preferred the color story they went with. I think I was nervous it was going to be red and gray like all of the glamlite palettes that I was burnt out from that color story 😅 but obviously not that many people were complaining since everything sold out twice 😂 I didn’t get it but can appreciate it from afar
The look you did is gorgeous and it's making me feel like I wish they had made more of this so everyone who wanted it could have gotten it during the initial launch. How could they not realize how many people were going to want this palette (and more)? It takes SO long for me to get Colourpop orders shipped to me (opposite coast of where they are) so by the time they restock this will everyone still want it? I don't know. This video made me even more excited for my package to arrive! I love the color story because it’s not what we were expecting but it makes total sense for the colors in the movie. I feel most people think of like reds and black when it comes to vampires in general so I like that they went a different direction and the color story is so pretty imo 🤩 also I haven’t bought a Colourpop palette in a minute so I was curious the palette says there’s pearlescent glitters in it are those different from the pressed glitters? Are they eye safe? Does anyone know I don’t see anything on the website about it but I may have missed it.
There is only so much you can do with red black and white if it was based on the book. I love the color story i hope I’m able to get the pallet with the re stock.

I totally agree with the red. Sure, blood and red are the first thing we associate with vampires, but I think the colorstory matches the movie well. I feel with red added, it would feel more like part of the Glamlight Halloween collection and not really distinguish itself. 🌲🌲🌲🌳🌳🌳🌫

How would you say Vampire Skin compares to Flexitarian? That's my favorite highlighter in my collection and use it as a baseline for other highlighters and I'm so curious to see how they compare to each other

Just FYI that ColourPop's site on launch day said Pearlescent Glitter was among the types of eyeshadow in the palette amd that's why i didn't buy the palette. Conspicuously, no ingredient list was yet posted, but the 2023 version of CP's PG was in fact real plastic glitter, just in a smoother formula.
Plastic glitter is a hard No for me and i won't buy palettes with it unless it's a shade i know I'll never use anyway for color reasons. It's not just an environmental hazard but an eye safety one. Plastic glitter in the eye, yes, even cosmetic plastic glitters from CPand others, is a very scary situation, firsthand knowledge.
UGH. Loved this palette but glitters in some of my fave shades is a NO.

I totally want each book/ movie to get their own collections. I would have bought the lux oil ….but it is coconut oil and my poor cat is allergic ( her ears puffed up to 2 or 3 times as thick as normal!😿). Probably just going to get the palette ( 2 , one for me one for a coworker ) and the highlighters .

My daughter loved the books. We watched the first movie for her. I felt like I'd lost a few brain cells, just watching it! That being said.. I am not the target audience for the series. The collection is actually really pretty. I might pick up a couple things.
I didn't see the first one in the theater but the rest i went to the midnight showing. I was incredibly disappointed in the first movie the first time i saw it, but now i love it.
I haven't been watching a lot of makeup content lately, but damn did I click this one fast🌲🛻 And though I do agree with not wanting it to be a rainbow palette, I really wish they would have given a nod to Bella's truck somewhere else in the collection (like instead of Bells, the lipgloss is Bella's Truck) since that is one of the most iconic scenes. But overall I love this collection and I absolutely need it!!

I'd love if a New Moon was Neutrals wirh some warms....then Eclipse its my favorite of the books and movies cause it has more stories and more of Jasper so I'd be happy over all...and ai hope one of them does goes straight vamp pallette with the red, white and nlacks and Grey's and vamoy colors!
I think it's kind if cool that if they DID do a picture it was this specific one since it's from the dream Stephanie Meyers had that inspired the book. Them laying in the meadow with all the lavender......I really DO hope they do more pallettes!pallette!. It be a missed opportunity for sure!
