You can put a small tube inside a thin funnel and fill it through the dipstick tube. It's a little slow but you don't have to remove the top nut. I do it on mine.. also works for Saturn Vue it has a rebadged Honda engine and transmission in it.
I do this on my 00 civic, but yes you can do it that way as well. Cheers!
yeah I normally do this way too. I made thin tube attached to the funnel and put it into dip stick tube. Slow but don't need to deal with the nut.
How about checking the level of oil in the transmission????
I copy the part number for the washer for magnetic drain plug, why is it so big for my 2013 pilot ? now what should I do? do I used it?
You held the bottle upside down, btw. If you hold it the correct way, the fluid will flow out smoothly.
Thank you for the tip, Cheers!
Hello Friend, a question: What exact amount of ATF fluid does the change take so that it is at its correct level?
whered you get the 24mm crush wsaher?
Awesome, you make it looks so simple. Question: should I change the Transfer case fluid too? Thanks in advance.
You can. I have a video for it. th-cam.com/video/r89iNO3yc3I/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2ux4lwawhhluapIX
I did all three (Transmission, Transfer Case, Differential)
@@MobileCarMechanic Thanks again.
So is it necessary to put pilot on ramps or jack up? My pilot parked in driveway I can’t get under it
You can use ramps or a jack, Which ever you prefer as long as you can access the bottom of the vehicle. Cheers!
what kind washer and size please? thinking to do this tomorrow?
ATF Fill Bolt Washer 24mm : 11107-PWA-300
Drain Bolt Washer 20mm: 94109-20000
Awesome
Thank you!
At what interval are you doing transmission fluid? I'm doing every 10K miles.
I typically replace every 30k
Supposed to do it at 60k
How do I get the bolt off if it seized or stuck
I would try tapping on the bolt with a hammer on the head of the bolt multiple times to see if it loosens things up, Possibly heat if needed but use precaution as fluids are flammable. If you are having issues breaking it loose by hand maybe use you foot to push on the socket wrench. Sometimes you need leverage as these can get stuck so if you have a pipe you can slip on to the ratchet that may make it easier to break loose.
Is the drain plug 17mm as well?
It isn’t, the drain plug has a 3/8 square where you insert your 3/8 ratchet into. No socket needed
Do you have the back jacked up?
I did not jack up the back end.
Fill it via transmission dip stick hole
Also a good alternative. Thanks for the Tip. Cheers!
Hello! What size washers?
Hello, you can pick the washer up at your local Honda dealer. The part number is 90471-PX4-000. The washer is 18mm. You can use this link to buy it: amzn.to/3ueGdFd
Looks like I was incorrect,
ATF Fill Bolt Washer 24mm : 11107-PWA-300
Drain Bolt Washer 20mm: 94109-20000
Hi dude, how i can change the filter on transmission?
When we create a video we will post it. As of now we don’t have that ability until I have access to another pilot!
Unfortunately you have to lift whole transmission and separate Mission case and TC case for change the filter. So it is very hard to change ATF filter without lifter. Good stuff is 5AT, 6AT, 10AT does not need to change filter.
There is no filter to change. Just change the fluid
@@jrkustomz5538no filter in the transmission? So just flush the fluid?
@@DreyTheGamer that's it.just drain and refill
4qts in and call it good. Honda calls for 3.7qts…the extra .3qt won’t hurt anything.
Thanks for the info, Cheers!
YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE THE "AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OIL FILTER" AS WELL WHILE YOU WERE THERE AT IT DOING THE FULID PLUS YOU CAN DO THE FILTER EVERY OTHER TRANSMISSION OIL DRAIN & FILL 3O,OOO.OO FOR FULID AND 6O,OOO.OO FOR TRANSMISSION FILTER
Thank You for the feedback. Will replace the filter next fluid change and make a video on it. Cheers!
What are you talking about? These don't have a transmission filter.
You probably shouldn't comment on things you don't know about
@@jrkustomz5538yes it does lol
@@bigdogmoneyd2410 no it doesn't. It has a screen you gotta split the transmission to get to.
@@NOAHCASAS not a single 2009 to 2015 Honda V6 transmission has a "filter" that you change .
You must split the transmission in half . As in the transmission must be removed from the vehicle. There is no service filter.
