    I really enjoyed this video, it was very informative. I have been wondering about Facebook market place. It really doesn't seam to have that many items that you can base your sale off of. I was thinking maybe they get bought and taken down before I can see anything that has been refinished. So thank you for showing how to locate what has been sold. I have gotten very discouraged with Facebook because of this. I have several pieces to work on. I have a pretty big home but no where I can really dedicate to just working on furniture. It is hard taking everything out, getting to work and having to put everything back up every time. So thank you for boosting my confidence again to get to work. Today is the first time I have watched your videos. I really enjoy them. Keep up the beautiful work. God bless

      There are only certain items that sell well on FBM. How you finish them is very important. You have to know your market. Where I live, I can sell WHITE painted bedroom sets with a dresser and 2 night stands (NOT 1 nightstand- it must have 2) or a dresser, 2 night stands and a headboard (king or queen) every day all day! I sold a bedroom set with dresser, 2 night stands and king headboard painted white for $1900 and I got it for free. You cannot sell kitchen table and chairs to make it worth your while. I can sell single dressers better than chest of drawers. Since my viewers do not want to see me paint a bedroom set white over and over I create videos teaching you techniques to refinish furniture for your personal use more so to sell. Glad you enjoyed the video!

      You are welcome. The main reason furniture does not sell for a higher price on FBM is because they have lowsy images!!! Just follow the steps in my video and you will be able to find some great furniture that is priced too low and then resell it!

      Hi B- Wow! Sell that furniture!!! I suggest trying the boost and only list no more than 3 at a time. Do not compete with yourself so do not post 3 dressers. Try to post 3 different kinds of furniture. I stack my furniture 3 high so perhaps you can do that and clear out one of the storage units and then using that to stage it. Just some thoughts....

      Hi Elizabeth- I have found that most people are just so glad to sell the furniture that they really do not even want to know what you are going to do with it. Therefore, they never ask. However, all they have to do is click on my name on FBM and they will see that I have furniture listed for sale that has been refinished. I use the same account to buy furniture and to sell the furniture. I hope you found the info helpful. Thanks for watching

    Fantastic video with really great tips for beginners. I was wondering if you bring the buyer into your shop to actually see the item before purchase. I would think that would make it pretty clear that you are flipping. Also, how do wrap furniture for damage-free delivery? And how do you charge for packing and delivery? Or, if you are requiring that they pick up the item, do you provide packing advice or materials? Finally, do you post an as-is/no-returns policy? I just Subscribed so I am hoping that you will be inspired to do an "After the sale" video, that can address issues like this.

      I have a 750 sq foot workshop that is large enough for me to store furniture and work in it. It is in a retail/ office center. I love it! Unfortunately, like most flippers, I have way too much furniture in it right now so I am trying to hold myself back from buying more! Most people just refinish furniture in their garage but it gets so hot in the summer that there is no way I could work in my garage so I made certain that my workshop has heat and AC. You can rent a place like "public storage' for about $150 a month so you could store your furniture there and move it to your garage one piece at a time to refinish it.

      Hi Sandy. It seems that sometimes you are not given the option to boost it on FBM. For example, I looked at the listing on my phone and I could not see the option to boost it. BUT when I went to my listing while on my PC, I could see the option to BOOST on the "selling" page. (i.e. the page where you can make changes. ) This is for an item that was already listed.
      When you first post a listing while on my PC, there is always an option to "boost" at the end. That is usually when I boost it.
      I have the facebook advertising app on my phone and it too did not allow be to boost a listing that I had listed the week prior- I could only boost it on my PC
      I hope this is helpful. It is crazy that sometimes you can boost it and sometimes you can't. They are loosing advertising dollars!

    Wow! Congratulations. This is really informative. After I watched this video, I went on Facebook Marketplace and actually found a dining room set that met your "criteria" It was for sale for $450. It has been for sale for about 3 weeks. What do you think? Should I pay the full price or offer less? It is in great shape from the write up. I also asked the owner a lot of questions and he said it has not damage on the wood or stains on the chairs. They are anxious to sell because they are moving.

    • @FurnitureFlippingForProfit
      @FurnitureFlippingForProfit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would ask them if they are firm on the price. Wait for their response. If they reply that they are open to offers, offer them $300 . Try to determine the retail price of the furniture. Ask them where they bought it. Ask them how much they paid for it. If they paid over $2k for it I would pay about $300 for it. If they paid $4-6K I would pay $400.

    • @FurnitureFlippingForProfit

      Right now I am only selling it on Facebook Marketplace. I over price it a little and then boost the listing. If it does not sell in one week, I drop the price and then it usually sells. Boosting it enables more people to see it and I get a pretty good response (unless I over priced it).

      Hi Laura- Wow! What a compliment!! Feel free to ask any ? you have. I always try to respond to comments. I know you can do it! Just be very careful in your selection of what you refinish. Some things sell better than others. For example a dresser with 2 nightstands sell very well if you can make them look like something they can buy today in the store. I have also become more picky about the quality of used furniture. I have found that if I keep looking, I can find solid wood (or mostly wood) used furniture for the same price as 100% particle board. Some particle board furniture is made better than others. Be certain to open all the drawers, etc before you buy to make certain that it is in good shape. It is expensive to repair furniture. I sometimes intentionally buy broken furniture so I can product a video to show you how to fix it BUT I loose money when I flip it because the cost to repair it can be quite high. Keep to conservative colors- just look at stores like Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel for examples of popular colors and you won't go wrong. White is reall hot right now.... unfortunately you see us painting furniture on TH-cam in lots of different colors because it would be boring if I only showed you videos of white furniture.
