The vision and aspirations of John F. Kennedy's famous "moon speech" in 1961, where he declared the goal of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to Earth before the end of the decade, was indeed a visionary statement made long before the technological capabilities to achieve it existed. At the time, no one had even achieved lunar orbit, let alone landed on the moon. The technology for rendezvous and docking in space was still under development, and many of the engineering challenges involved in such a mission were yet to be solved.
@@peterhermit1830 Exactly my point rendezvous and docking in space was done a long time with a vision, imagination and technolofy created . Doing what others did in easilu off te shelf technolofy and nothing in the long run wit misplaced priorities is what I am driving at
