I'm just discovering these dream mixes by TD and they sound great. It's sounds more mainstream than their usually stuff. I'm suprised some of these tracks were not popular in the 90s dance scene.
It was and still is great music. Tangerine Dream were the real founding fathers of Techno or Tech House, which is danceable. That music is still big today, and this material released in the mid-1990s obviously still works. I recently watched the film Thief (1981) again starring James Caan and Tuesday Weld, TD did the soundtrack, and THAT still works in 2024 ... over 43 years later.
Thanks so much, and I am glad you enjoyed it. I did almost every Tangerine Dream song I had in this same style (a few I used differently). I also used it for some other instrumentals, including the one from the Pinball Wizard album by The Who. I'd love to do more, the music that works best is Techno or Tech House. But right now, you seem to be in a minority of viewers who like this kind of video. I had many who loved these on my previous channel, but the YT audience today seems to be made up of deadheads lacking cultural and artistic cues.
@mikemunrowsretro8973 I have no idea where you pull this stuff from what your archival clip sources might be but you are putting them to good use. There has to be tons of bcd grade movies even old r rated that are usable. I like the music and footage that I don't recognise but sets a mood for the visuals then I enjoy the journey. I appreciate all the creative energy you put into making these. Not necessarily for mass appeal I guess but I would guess you can make it worthwhile over time if the TH-cam Gestapo doesn't run you off.
@@frankwalton7323 I did a bunch of these. In fact, all the Dream Remixes by Tangerine Dream. I need good techno music to make these. Anyway, I agree with you, they are a trip and because I use real time and live footage along with film, they transport the viewer into almost being inside the video. Views for these were strong on my previous channel, but not that great on this one for some reason. Still, I'd like to do more of these.

What a trip. Typical of your best work. I hope you stick to this formula and that you are successful.
