I have a blue with cream leather upholstery. It’s a head turner after all these years. Just had it ceramic coated. The Sheen/shine is fantastic. Rightly or wrongly. Mine never goes out in the wet or winter only in the spring and summer again only with the hard top off and the cloth top down. It is a lovely old bus to drive it as you say not for racing about but wafting through country lanes. Mine has 150k miles on it and is the DOGS. Good video
Great video, thanks for taking the time to shoot it - perhaps an interior detail video next time with engine start up, plus your experience of owning, any tips on buying - I have wanted one since my childhood but the big bills scare me!
Thanks for the comments Ian and all noted! The car was built in an era of Mercedes where nothing but the best will do and it is truly felt throughout the car. I’d opt for the 320 as re sale values are typically stronger than the 280 and check it has a good service history! You’ll be able to tell a lot from the test drive and how the engine sounds on startup/tick over. A good example shouldn’t prove costly as it was built to a high standard. They are a bit juicy though but it’s all worth it. Hope this helps!
It's got door pockets not a glove box. Also interested to see the options on your 95 were not offered till 96 in USA. DAS2 infrared sensor location at rear view mirror

They indicate the central locking. Flash red when locking and green when opening. Same on the drivers side door. Some have them on the boot also but my car doesn’t.

Lights were designed like that for snow so even if they get covered u can still see the lights :)

1997 was the last year for the real deal Mercedes, they went corporate greed and merged with Chrysler, quality diminished
