MALLRAT Interview- friends w/ Allday, music in Google ad, meeting Paris Hilton

Hi it's Lauren Engel of Sidewalk Talk :) Mallrat is a musician from Brisbane who since then has moved to Melbourne. Since then her music has made big waves across the ocean to the States and Europe. Mallrat was once a fan of Allday but since then has becoming close friends and has done some tours together. Mallrat eats a vegan diet and feels very strongly about education for young women, ensuring that young people have access to a safe learning environment. She also thrift shops to counteract the use of animal products in fashion. She identifies as a feminist, and remembers the movies and TV shows her mum showed her when she was super young - think Legally Blonde, Kim Possible, Powerpuff Girls - as sparking the fire within her surrounding the movement.
She recently signed to a label, has toured with Maggie Rogers, plays headlining sold out shows in massive venues and also fests across Australia. Mallrat has heat from every tastemaker under the sun - Idolator, Stereogum, and the New York Times - and Gorillaz' Noodle just included her in a playlist of Kick Ass Women.
