Fantastic all round vlog Andrew, speaking as as a member of the British Neemeian society I must say these vlogs do have a dangerously high addictive content, as you enter the wonderful world of Neemia. As someone who falls into the "life experience" category of the WSOP, I agree with all you said. I still remember the first time I walked into the main room at the Rio and heard the the cacophony of thousands of chips being riffled....absolute goosebumps. For the non-grinders, I encourage people to satellite into the bigger tourney's (esp. the Main Event) It allows you to get into the bigger buy-ins without killing your bankroll. AND yes absolutely geek out on meeting the pros. I walked around for two weeks with a deck of cards in hand and had about 20 pros sign them, all were very gracious other than a certain "brat" Cheers all.
I've been watching your vlogs religiously since last year. I'll be in Vegas later this summer. It would be an honor to meet you. My confidence and game in poker definitely skyrocketed since I've been following you, and Brad too! Thank you for everything Andrew, keep it up!
Andrew Great Advice. I had taken my two oldest girls to the WSOP when they got into online power during college and law school , we went three years for 10 days each time, stayed at the Bellagio, and limited ourselves to three events MAX. The rest we ate at Picasso, saw shows, went to clubs, I played mostly cash accept for a rebuy tournaments (when they were still doing them). Made a vacation with no expectations and had a blast each time. My girls loved meeting Phil Gordon, Huck Seed, and Daniel N, Phil H was a bit of a prig.
Exceptional as always. Best of luck in the WSOP. Hope you make a televised final table so your vlog will explode! Would be great for the rest of the poker world to see what a high quality poker vlog looks like. Good luck!

Hey, Andy! Take some care outdoors since our old Sol is radiating very high in the ultra-violet, lately. The sun's energy is actually greater during low sunspot parts of the solar cycle (11-12 years). Go for the highest sunscreen, if you go out and keep covered.
:) Most Hold'em grinders don't need sunscreen since they are second and third shift workers ... but during the WSOP, you have to be up during the day! I had my "experience" in 2006 for a $1500 tourney I won on Absolute Poker. Fun being there and actually lasting 8 hours of grinding ... but out just before the bubble. Still a great vacation I would recommend to anyone! Can't beat it for a $1000 entry and two days cost for room/board and a lot of intense poker with the best.
Thanks for the vlog. I'll be in the fun life experience category when I arrive on June 13th for my first WSOP visit. As I'm over 50, I'm targetting the Seniors event on June 16th and using it as a form of satellite to the main event. (anything cashed over $10k).
80/160 Mixed running, nice! I second the recommendation to check out the Rio and do some rail birding for fun. You can catch some tv pros going for easy bracelets in odd-ball events, like the 10k Triple Draw 2-7 event. One time I got to watch Sammie Farha get into an all-in situation fairly early in a PLO event. One Drop event this Friday should have a ton of celebs and tv pros.

Glad you said it. $2000+ WSOP tournaments is almost all pros now. Most of the WSOP players are under 30 and just not that bad. Way different than a decade ago where the 30+ crowd was the norm. It is the easiest live tournaments but if you played in 2006 it was basically a guaranteed profit if you knew what you were doing.
I finally have the chance to fulfill a long time "bucket list" item. Arriving on the 6th for 2 weeks, going to play 3 WSOP events. I am looking forward to meeting up with you for a most favorable cocktail or two!
When he pots the turn, he is representing a polarised range, don't you think you should check the river and allow him to fire his bluffs and bet for value with sets and 2pairs that pot the turn? Then you can check raise and get all the money via sets etc and get money from hands that would fold to your river lead. Love the videos keep up the good work.
I didn’t like the coverage change ESPN did of World Series of Poker and stopped watching it 3-4 years ago. However Andrew, if you make it into a final table I am willing to change that policy and start watching it again. Hope you have a good Series this year and keep up the superb vlogs!

Andrew, as you know, playing tournaments is different than cash. I play more tournaments than cash, and it has been my experience that aggression pays off in tournaments -- especially pre flop and on the flop. Good luck.

I think if you don't go for the turn x/r you should go for it on the river. If you don't go for it on the turn its because you don't think you have very much fold eq giving his bet sizing meaning he likely has a hand he likes. Given I would think a river x/r is in order to get max value since he will very likely bet given the turn sizing. Thoughts? Love your stuff Andrew
FYI one thing fans can do to support in terms of providing you $$ without giving you money is let the ads at the beginning of your videos run all the way through...not to many people know this but if you skip the ad on the 5 sec. mark the video marker makes $0 off that play through..so start the video go get a cocktail and let the ad play :)
Your video inspired me to drop everything and book a flight to the WSOP. I'm headed out there next week and staying at the Rio. I can't pass up the experience any longer.
I must say I love your videos, and agree with your actions roughly 95% of the time. I think you play great, I just wanted to have one comment, because you normally say in the video if you're unsure in a certain spot, but in this spot you seemed relatively confident in your play, but I tend to think you should have went for a check -raise with the nuts on that last hand. I tend to think his range leaned toward a TP/TK was at the medium point of his range after he put out a pot-size bet on the turn after you led on flop. The board is relatively dry, and for him to take control of the pot and in particular his sizing on the turn is an indication to me of some pretty strong holdings. He also could have sets, a possible 78 Straight- I think the very bottom of his range would be a failed pair/flush draw, or potentially flush/st8 draw combo on the turn. You checking on the river, he bets his bluffs anyway most likely, because only JQ gets there and it's kind of unlikely you have that hand calling 200 on turn. Additionally, when you reraise, it seems like an odd play, because besides JQ or KKK, what else can you have that plays the hand like that. He most likely bets like 400 on river with 10-2, sets, other 2-pair type hands, or straights, and when you re-raise to 1000 you have a shot at being called by many hands in his range, albeit 10-2 might fold to a strong re-raise (all -in). Anyway, just my opinion, and would love if you had some feedback as I think you're a better player than me and have learned a lot from you. Thanks,Matt

Marcus Gerbic go play at MGM. Good 1-2 games and I think max buy in is $300. But I suggest buying in for 100 bb ($200)

Great video really enjoyed your overview of WSOP
I must say I love your videos, and agree with your actions roughly 95% of the time. I think you play great, I just wanted to have one comment, because you normally say in the video if you're unsure in a certain spot, but in this spot you seemed relatively confident in your play, but I tend to think you should have went for a check -raise with the nuts on that last hand. I tend to think his range leaned toward a TP/TK was at the medium point of his range after he put out a pot-size bet on the turn after you led on flop. The board is relatively dry, and for him to take control of the pot and in particular his sizing on the turn is an indication to me of some pretty strong holdings. He also could have sets, a possible 78 Straight- I think the very bottom of his range would be a failed pair/flush draw, or potentially flush/st8 draw combo on the turn. You checking on the river, he bets his bluffs anyway most likely, because only JQ gets there and it's kind of unlikely you have that hand calling 200 on turn. Additionally, when you reraise, it seems like an odd play, because besides JQ or KKK, what else can you have that plays the hand like that. He most likely bets like 400 on river with 10-2, sets, other 2-pair type hands, or straights, and when you re-raise to 1000 you have a shot at being called by many hands in his range, albeit 10-2 might fold to a strong re-raise (all -in). Anyway, just my opinion, and would love if you had some feedback as I think you're a better player than me and have learned a lot from you. Thanks,Matt

Andrew, it's a great vlog, i'm always pulling for you, but you kinda skipped over the turn call with QJo OOP against a pot-sized bet. Even with the overs and open-ender, do you think a check-call on the turn is the optimal play?
No I don't think I played that particular hand very well at all.
