Thank you for all the information Sam! There are some lovely free patterns there 😊. Im going to Malaga in mid March too and then hiking around Ronda at the end of April - we obviously both have good taste in holiday destinations ☺
New subscriber here. Really like the theme, patterns, and colors you have chosen for your trip. Sounds like a wonderful adventure. I hope to see your patterns made up. Blue is my favorite color.
I do love this challenge, Sam! I don't tend to use patterns any more, as I've made my own blocks and they don't count, but I'll be sewing from my stash during March, so I'll be with you in spirit 😊 Btw your hair looks fabulous 😍
Super pretty patterns Sam...thank you so very much for sharing these. I have downloaded all of them. Sew Frugal a couple of years ago was what started me on this sewing journey. Couldn't figure out how to get the Edith to download in English. xx Karen
Love all your choices Sam, I think I may have to look at all of these patterns myself. Some new to me designers as well, so that'll have me falling down a rabbit hole 😂
I really like this challenge. Followed it last year and got a ton of free patterns downloads from it. This year, I hope to take part as I’m making a Paddington top this week/possibly making it into a dress. I also have some tshirt patterns I want to try out.
Thanks for finding some new free patterns. I really like that square neck dress. You will have a lovely wardrobe for your trip. I've already downloaded a tshirt pattern and a girl's dress pattern.
Great plans! I share similar colorings as you, and I’m into blues as well. Very inspiring video, great fabric pairing. Thank you for sharing some pattern companies that are not well known. I’m looking forward to see how your plans turn out. I love a free pattern! Thank you also (and Ruan!) for hosting this chance again ❤
Great theme for your pattern choices and so helpful to hear your thoughts. I need a pattern for a classic, current vest and the Pompom looks perfect. 🎉
Nice finds! 😊 I like the square neck dress from Tiana’s Closet! A lot of tops and dresses in that style tend to have a neckline that exposes your upper back, which I’m not a fan of wearing. I especially like the Odell dress/top!😍…I wonder if it might be fairly easy to bring in the back so there’s a tie at the neckline rather than the open upper back. 🤔 Wishing you safe and happy travels when you go on your trip! 🤗❤️
Love the pompom vest. I have been looking for a pattern like that. I am older and if they fit right, I do wear vests without a shirt underneath. I make them in fun quilting cotton and they have more coverage and structure than other summer tops
Lovely! You have a couple of patterns there which I haven’t seen the other sewists using. Can’t go wrong with blues and whites/creams. They always coordinate so well. I’d love to see the entire wardrobe down the track, with what you pull out of your cupboard to coordinate & fill in the gaps. Sounds like a fabulous trip.
Thanks for the patterns, my favourite was the blouse and I have downloaded it. As for the t-shirt dress, you hardly need any instructions, it's just a t-shirt but longer. Have a good holiday.
Great video, I’m sure your capsule wardrobe will look fab, practical, comfortable and smart. Thanks for sharing some interesting patterns, love the dress and waistcoat in particular. I also need to get to grips with with uploading on instagram.
Love the theme you went for this year, and your pattern pics are fab! Hope you have time to get most of these made before your trip (and can't wait to see the reveal pics at the end of the month with such a beautiful backdrop like Seville 🤩) Looking forward to joining for the fourth year in a row! Thanks to you both for bringing this challenge back again this year 🤗
Some lovely patterns there Sam. I'm a v plain fabric girl myself, so love the different blue tones you have and think they'll make a lovely capsule wardrobe for your trip. I've been to Rhonda and it is truly something to see. Have a fab time ❤
thank you for your ideas , but you need to buy the made by oranges magazine to get the code for the free pattern, so its not really free and I understand you said we couldnt use patterns from magazines ??
@Frugalisama Thank you - that link worked. When I used the one under the video I ended up at a t-shirt dress. I did a search for Edith and nothing came up. I really like that top so I'm glad I was able to get it. 🙏
Oh my goodness I love the laillie dress 😍
Thank you, me too 👍

I love plain white fabrics but I am guaranteed to spill coffee on myself if I wear it!
Ha ha me too, that's why I'm not making the dress & trousers in white!
Have the waistcoat pattern ready to go too.....lovely plans and perfect colour scheme, Sam 😍
Thanks Debbie, always blue 💙😉
That cornflower blue T-shirt dress will look terrific with the waistcoat. I ❤ all your picks
Thank you, I hope so 💙
I love your fabric choices! 😊
Glad you like them!
I’m loving the waistcoat pattern! Also that Edith top is definitely my style and will be adding it to my never ending list!
Thanks Valerie, yes the list gets ever longer doesn’t it 🤣
Fabulous choices Sam love them X
Thank you 🙏
Hi Sam. Great suggestions and I can see me making at least 3 of those. The first top looks like a nice alternative to the donny. 😊
Glad you like them Annette!

Some fab ideas there. Thanks Sam - lots of food for thought. Have a great trip ❤
Thanks so much! I will 😊
Love the patterns, decision decisions decisions and its only day 1
🤣🤣 you’d better choose which fabric you really want to sew & take it from there!
The woven dresses are really nice - free or not. Thank you for the roundup and hosting the challenge. Hope your trip is incredible.
Thank you, yes they’re lovely aren’t they 👍

Oh did you Christine! Wow how lovely. Looking forward to discovering the city, any top tips?
Everything about it is great, take a carriage ride, enjoy tapas.x@@Frugalisama

My capsule carry-on only for Spain in March is blue, white & purple... With 1 yellow thrown in.
Thanks - sounds perfect 💙
I’m in!
Hi! If you are going to Seville in March, dress for a hot summer in Britain. You might experience temperatures of between 20 and 30 degress...
Thanks yes, I’m her now, with a very red nose! It’s hotter than anticipated ☀️
Thanks for sharing Sam, have a great trip. 💙🧶🌈🍓
Thank you! Will do!
Hi Sam, I love the look of that made by oranges shirt. I have been looking for something a little bit nicer than just a t shirt.
It's lovely isn't it a bit more elevated than a tee I think 👍
Very nice, thank you. ❤
You're welcome 😊
Thanks Sam some great patterns. Must learn how to upload to instagram so I can take part. Enjoy your holiday.

Hi, no you don’t, I’ve downloaded it for free, unless it’s changed since yesterday www.madebyoranges.com/en/s1233.html

Can you enter with a free knickers pattern? 😊
Oh no! The Edith top isn't there anymore. There's a t-shirt dress instead.
Really? I checked before I recorded & I’ve just checked now & it still seems to be available www.madebyoranges.com/en/s1233.html
