    I use skincare i reallyyy dont like as a foot mask💀. I sometimes feel ridiculous doing it, but it's always better than just tossing it out. I love your makeup here!

    Silly story about Glasshouse candles that you and Hailey rave about often. (Backstory: I’m an American and my partner lives in Australia). In the US as far as I know, the most well known candle brands are Bath & Body Works and Yankee candles. Every time you guys mention Glasshouse I get a gut feeling that that I’ve seen or used them before. I finally checked them out and they’re AU/NZ only, so I was like yeah that’s not possible, so I brushed it off. Ages later, I was reading the candle sitting on my desk that my partners mum got for me last Christmas.... and lo and behold it’s a small glasshouse candle! 😂 I’ve had one sitting beside me for the past year and I had no idea! It’s vanilla caramel scent. Next time I’m there I hope I can snag some more to bring home!

    I started tracking my use in December and used 20 full size, outdated/decluttered 11, samples 24, and gifted 6 for a total of 61.
    So far in January I’m at 42.

    You may want to consider using up some of that.leftover skin care on your forearms as well. Most people tend to neglect them.

      Yes! I use products that I’m “meh” about on my hands, neck, chest, and elbows! It helps use it up and takes care of those areas that reveal age!

    I was on my way to sleep after just finishing Hailey’ s video. Thankfully I didn’t. Today I gave in and bought the Smashbox foundation. I hope the shade is correct cause they didn’t have the lightest shades in store. I got a sample earlier this month and I thought it was breaking me out but it was something else. Your lips are really shiny. Much love.

    Hi Kat. I just want to say thank you for your commitment with your personal channel and Beauty News to putting up so many videos a week. I can always find a new video to watch. My parents divorce was finalized today (it was a very amicable and easy divorce), but it was really hard to find out this morning. But having a video here to watch really helped brighten my spirits. So thank you. Also you look gorgeous (as always)!

    You’re inspiring me to keep track of my empties this year! I’m excited to see how much stuff I use up! Also, yeah I don’t really get the hype with the DE Marula oil. It actually made me break out quite a bit even when I used the smallest amount, because like you said, it seemed to just sit on top of my skin and not absorb at all. Kosmea rosehip oil gets my vote too!

    The Shu Uemura Ultime8 is my fav as well! When I’m just wearing sunscreen I use another cleansing balm but when I have proper makeup on I use the Shu one and I feel it does the best job of melting everything off gently and easily. I buy a large bottle during the holiday sales and it lasts me just about a year. 😊✨

    I get what you mean with the drunk elephant oil but if you have eczema on your face then I would totally recommend! this is one of the only things that helps get rid of it which is a little annoying because its so expensive haha :)

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I do appreciate that, and I can't comment because I don't have eczema, but I would also assume that other cheaper oils that I prefer the quality of over the DE one, would also work well on eczema. I still feel like DE is too expensive for what they deliver.

  • @_Luna____

    I've recently tried baremineral's oil obsessed and I really like it. It doesn't leave an oil residue whereas if I use a cleansing balm, there's still that oily feel at the end. I might give shu uemura a go in the future

    I tried the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro and it was just meh. Have you ever tried a lotion with Azelaic acid? It calms inflammation and reduces redness.
    My last step in my routine is oils - I mix 2 or 3 together , ok maybe 4 😉 and I love what they do for my face and neck. I always use a good Rosehip oil, and tamanu, maybe prickly pear or immortelle. I have a bunch more in my collection but lately these are my go-tos ..

  • @mandymouse1879
    @mandymouse1879 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Drunk Elephant is a GREAT brand but yeah I agree about the Marula Oil. It’s just Marula Oil. So many of their products really are wonderful and good for your skin, but I’d say at least 1/2 of the line is not really worth the splurge because you can get products for 1/3 to 1/4 of the price that are just as effective and gentle.

    I really want to do a shop my stash kind of video. I want to use up products I don’t normally run out of. How do you stay inspired?

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's less about inspiration for me, and more about habit. I am in the habit of using the same products each day until I use them up so it's pretty easy for me, and I only really change up my eyeshadow and lipstick each day to still have variety :)

    • @BookwormEmEm
      @BookwormEmEm 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      KitschSnitch i always try to use a different palette or multiple palettes a day. Eyeshadow is so hard to pan on when you have so much.

    I think the Billion Dollar Brows brow pencil was designed to be used as a pencil pomade and then brushed through bc mine actually came with a flat definer brush along with the brow gel. With that being said I still didn't care for it even using it the way they intended. I have pretty bushy brows and all the pencil did is make m brow hairs clump together and somehow made my brows look less bushy, which no one wants.

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They must have realised that that's the only way it can be use haha. Back when I got this one, it didn't come with a brush or instructions to use it that way :)

Its amazing. That one for dry and sensetive skin😊❤️

    I am sure I am preaching to the converted but excess skincare can also go on your thighs and tummy, foot massages by your other half as you are carrying all the weight lol, and shoulder massages if you get a headache as a natural way of getting rid of the pain.

      My mole was shaved so it was never removed. Some of the colour is still there so I draw it back on, but it hasn’t grown back
