That's what I would do with the aluminum stuff unless you have a bunch of it put it all in the bucket together because some yards have a separate amount they pay you for the aluminum wire
Yes, if they are lighter than what you would expect, it’s probably a Aluminum you can tell the difference between heavy copper cables and aluminum cables. There is a big difference in weight.
It's technically called copper clad wire, it's a lot cheaper to make jumper cables out of copper clad vs real copper, and for people who don't know any better will just buy the cables without looking to see what the cables are made of. 100% authentic copper cables will last easily 10 years and that's with heavy use, vs copper clad may last a few months. In the last few years companies have started selling this crap for car audio wiring and it can be kinda dangerous to use, especially if the person is trying to wire up something drawing some serious current and they are using CC, it can get hit enough to cause fires.
Great video bro.....had a good idea for u so u wouldn't have to overly crowed ur new shop....u should move that shipping container beside ur shop and then when u fill barrels with copper and wires and aluminum u can store them barrels in that container and keep ur hoard in there

Are there brands of jumper cables to avoid or a way to tell they aren't going to be copper inside before you buy them at garage and estate sales?
