If you don't power-up the lab by hitting the button at the side of the 'head' then you can still go down to the lab and there's a cute little exchange between Dr Tully and Burgl relating to unlocking the door :)

Here's a tip for everyone, when the Director summons the O.R.C. Weaver Jr's don't kill both of them leave one alive, this is so when the spider tries to attack you while you're near the Director you perfect block to interrupt the Director so he doesn't shoot any orbs or turns on the lasers.
Fyi, this guy has the best brood mother guide I have ever seen.
Awesome tutorial, your tip to stay against the wall when the lasers come out saved my life many times. That was the one thing that I couldn't avoid with the assistant manager lol. Thank you man
People who want to see both ends, should first press the button. After u finished the first end, u will find yourself right before u pressed the button. Than follow this guide, finish the boss and see the second end.
If u first finish smector, u won’t be able to see both ends.
I just beat the game. I think it is better to beat schmecter before the embiggening cocktail, since this unlocked the sour battle axe which destroyed all of the ORCs in the final battle

Wish his fight was a little tougher. It didn’t feel any more difficult than the assistant manager one really. They just swapped out the TazT’s with bugs this time around.

Guys here's a tip to get across:
Build a tower up and jump with a tuft, it sounds harder but believe me when I say it can save you tons of time.
Reason: Tiger Mosquitoes will keep knocking you out of build mode if you make a bridge.
Nah just kill the mosquitos first, +6 fresh termite axe enough to make a quick work of them.
idk why ive seen nobody do this, but i just built a zipline that passes across the entrance with the connection on opposing sides of the castle, super easy.

I didn’t know to beat him I did the Javamatic first and had the disappointing ending, I didn’t know it was an ending I thought I was supposed to go to the castle after. They aren’t very clear on which way to go
I don't know how many people know this but it's really useful to save your game before pressing the button so once the cut scene is done you can load back into the game and continue playing on your world and you can end the game again to try and get 100% it's a win win really NOTE every time, you're about to end the game make sure to save
I beat him by hand and even didn't see one laser active, so fast I beat him. Use the power droplet and get the "hit by hand" mutation to level 3, you then will beat everything in grounded by hand ;-)
This part made me quit and uninstall the game. Just watched the good ending on youtube. Found the back entrance and couldn't see from a distance whether it was red or green, I literally had to jump in that giant hole to check, and of course it was locked. I'd imagine that would've made many other players quit if they did what I did. At least make it so you can see whether or not that back door is unlocked, it's clear they made the door obvously visible to players just to bait them into jumping in and loading an old save. That's not a game it's just sadism, there's no skill involved in guessing whether or not a door is open.
Plus there are way too many parts during lab missions where if you make one wrong turn or jump into the wrong tunnel your life is instantly forfeit, it's like you have to watch walkthrough videos in order to play through this without dying... not from bugs mind you, but from being trapped in some random hole, cave or pond with no way out. I legitimately thought this game was as good as valheim in the first few hours, before I started to realize how poorly designed most of these areas are. Almost all of upper yard is just the lower yard with different bugs. Not to mention the laziness on the developer's part to make every type of anthill and termite tunnel just copy and pasted to look exactly the same on the inside. Shame since this concept had a lot of potential, that mansterious stranger mutation is hands down the coolest passive perk I've ever seen in a video game
Yeah I find the MANT fight to be the most exciting part of the game, not even the spiders or other bosses got my heart rate up like that. Honestly more people should know that the best place to quit the game if you're tired of the grinding is just after the MANT fight. By that point, you've experienced basically all the best parts of this game, unless you actually enjoy building defenses for mixr and looking up youtube videos to reach the lamest final boss of all time
@@JohnMarston-st6zv yeah now that I know what all the final missions are I seriously regret not quitting after the MANT fight, I guess after that amazing fight I got hyped to fight the final boss.. until I realized the final boss is just a different version of the assistant manager. It feels like the developers simply gave up after creating the MANT fight, honestly my rating for the game would either remain the same or even increase if the MANT was the final boss. The endgame content was really not worth it, to make or to play
I did not hammer that button but still got in with Wendall and beat the Director

Question, if i do this before de bewing trouble quest, does it help with the insects attacking the mixrs?
No, you will get the same thing, but insects waves are a bit random.

Not sure how you kill him so fast, Playing the game multiplayer with 3 people on medium settings and no matter the armor and weapons we use the spider summoning gets so out of hand we cant kill him. Tried 8 times so far. its pretty crazy. Maybe its because there is 3 people trying to fight him? its hard lol
4 people in that small room with so many energy spheres bouncing... OMG, I would love to watch that chaos! hahaha...
Yes, every creature in the backyard gets buffed when more people are playing. My suggestion is that when the boss summons spiders all of you stop doing damage to him and focus on the spiders. All 4 of you focus on one spider at a time, focus damage. Spiders should drop in 2 hits max and then everyone goes back to the boss.
I completely agree. I’m in a multiplayer just 2 of us.. we’ve had about 8 encounters.. no luck. Teir 3 armor salt Morningstar.. termite axe… healbasas like crazy.
I get wrecked by the orb weavers. I watched so many videos and they barely hurt anyone, but they are hitting me for like half a health bar on a missed block. My armor is good, I don't get it.
What armor are you using and what level?
Can one repeat Schmector boss fight? Or is it one time, like MANT and Assistant Menager?
Eduardo, as you start the last quest, the game does an automatic save of that moment. You go back to that moment and play it again. But, yes, Director Schmector is like the Mant and the Assistant Manager.
I beat him with 3 things of heals and with a lot of arrows
the button you activated, i never did and changed nothing... what is it exactly?
I thought it was there to power the lab, maybe I am wrong...

what mutation is better for fighting with an scythe of blossoms assassin or chopper
Niko, the assassin mutation only works with daggers and the chopper only with chopping tools/weapons. Scythe of Blossoms is a chopping weapon, so that's an easy answer. :)
I read somewhere that in the spirit of RPG’s scythes have been secretly listed as daggers as well? I could be wrong though
@@Ind4mix, that's new for me. If it is true, I would suspect that's a bug and will be fixed in the long run.
@@ThePartisanSpy I believe it was intentional though - which is the interesting thing... I'm no D&D expert but I kind of like the idea of the scythe being a special nuanced weapon!
Yea so are the spiders that spawn supposed to keep spawning? My last few attempts, the spiders keep spawning and i end up with like 6 of them at once which is next to impossible with all the orbs....do they ever stop spawning? Im so confused
Director Schmector randomly summons 3 or 4 different attacks and the spiders is one of them. If you don't clear the spider, they will add up 2 by 2.
I'm having the same problem, I ended up with 8 before they killed me on my last run. And I was killing them back to back and they just kept spawning
I switch to the spicy staff to kill the orb weaver Jr's quickly, then get back to the director.

what leg armor were you using?

Stupid hard fight. I killed 4 waves of spiders in row they kept coming. This is stupid broken. As soon i killed one wave came another and then another, unable to fight boss actually.
yeah same with me, was killing the spiders super easy but there wer to many waves of them and was constantly getting over run. 4 came out together at 1 time. funny thing was this was when the boss only had 2-3 health bars left this kept happening he would go to the other side of the room camp and call forth his minions
i hat to turn down the difficulty for this boss as he is hard solo he took down a lot of my helf fast even when i had decent Armor on
Did you have your healing stat level up. I just out heal the damage.

Regarding the weapon choice, yes Director Schmector is weak to sour and busting but as it is a one-time thing and there are practically no bugs weak to sour in the backyard, I consider crafting a weapon to kill him as a big effort for a low reward. @@ThePartisanSpy ORC bugs are all weak to sour so maybe not that low reward for a backup weapon on the javamatic defense ;) or just for the beetles, they melt with it

As you end the last mission you will get a save and you can go back to that exact moment.

There are 2 endings, a good and a bad.
@@ThePartisanSpy - but how do you know that there's another lab in that statue? this seems like the second ending on not the original which would be the bad ending, right?
@@lolboy-642, yeah, if you don't explore, you won't find it.
actually, you definitely should end the game without killing Schmector. Then when you come back, go kill him and end the game again. This way you get to experience both ending. Once that's done, comeback again and go for the 100% completion. The game give you an 'end game' save so it's easy to comeback and continue with your game.

40kFulgrim, I understand your feeling. Before doing this thumbnail I did research and on Day 1 there were already thumbnails on TH-cam with the final boss. This is the first thumbnail I make with a "spoiler" and after 13 days the game was released. I don't believe I am part of the problem you are trying to point out, sorry.
