As a long time trad hunter, I laugh when you compound boys get so nervous to shoot at a whitetail shoulder and me with my 60lbs long bow, am just blowing through them. Why is that? Good job and awesome deer. Love the content.

Yep, mechanicals...likely low arrow weight as well...low FOC.
Light arrows and mechanicals
Its kinda the same way with heavy arrows but at the same time its not. Heavy arrows you get more hit and take more to stop it, but you lose speed and deer can jump string and you have a slight less noise with them. Light arrows you have more speed and penetration, but more noise. And kinetic energys pretty high with the light ones as well.
@@lanet.2934 KE has little to nothing to do with penetration. 25 ft lbs of KE is the start of what is acceptable for whitetail. Also, the speed of sound is 1124 fps and my arrow is 705gr w/ 24% FOC going a lighting fast 228 fps ( plug that into your arrow KE calculator ) and have yet to jump a deer in the 4 years I have been using this set up. I will take the slower quieter arrow that actually sheds less speed at distance over the lighter arrow that sheds its speed ( and KE ) faster at distance.

Hey Don you're probably blowing through them because you're waiting for the right angle, not sure why he ran that Arrow back in the guts
Horrible angle to shoot a deer. Congrats on deer but we have to represent better shot angles to the public. How many young hunters will watch this and think that's a good shot angle since you recovered the deer. Too many deer go un-recovered from that shot. We owe it to the deer not the public to get a kill on camera.
