I love shallow minnows like the Ecogear MX48 (suspending), and Smith Panish (Floating), but also use unweighted plastics and sinking stickbaits. Bent minnows are really good on sunset too
Hey man mad video! Is the gomoku good for lures? I've read it's a jigging rod but it just seems like it would be perfect for lures, nice and short also! Would mean a lot to hear what you think, thanks!
Thanks! I reckon the Gomoku is a pretty good lure rod, awesome value. I reckon though that its better if you're not distance casting, for something like bass in creeks, or vertical fishing, or jetty fishing its perfect. Theres actually a longer model too, its just as strong and light but its 7 foot or something, which is much better for casting. Its a camo colour. I still haven't had an issue with mine. I also got the short butt version, its hard to find but a lot easier for lure fishing. Hope that helps!
TimVFish yeah that helps a lot!! I have been looking at buying one as i just love how sensitive the tip is. At the moment I'm inbetween the gomoku or daiwa presso. Again thanks for the reply!
Thats a micro jigging rod. Works ok but wouldnt be my choice as an all round shore based rod. When the fish arent thick a rod with better searching abilities would be a bit more efficient . Each to their own I guess.
Wow just brought one can’t wait to try it
Nice video, looks fun!
Thanks, they are a fun fish and was a good bite too.
Awesome channel Tim you have a new sub.
Very nice Tim! Lower Hopkins?

Its not ideal but ok when the fish are thick and close enough.
Session 👌
Nice video. How do you like your rod and reel setup? Looking to get the same? Is bream similar to scup or porgy?
I reckon there're a similar fish, both part of the sparidae family. The rod and reel are good, highly recommended.
