Chris Seager: Director of Photography Mini Masterclass

Director of Photography Chris Seager has worked on many successful television series including Five Daughters, State of Play and Call the Midwife. He won a BAFTA for Sex Traffic at the British Academy Television Craft Awards in 2005 and has been nominated for many more, including a nomination for The Hour in 2012. In this BAFTA masterclass he sheds light on the craft of photography and lighting design for television.

It's ironic that the people making this video about cinematography forget so easily about it. I'm here for what he has to say, not a moving camera trying to catch as many lens flares as possible. Not to mention the lighting (his face is where the light should hit, not his ears). And someone turn down that music!

Chris Seager is a DP genius! Interesting to hear him talk. However the background 'flare' light and the thumping bass which drowned out what he was saying was terribly distracting. Hard to believe that this was done by BAFTA! BTW who was the DP on this project?
