I remember watching the rescuers as a kid and when I saw who ever she was point to a cage looking thing and call it an elevator I was like "LOL what?" Now I know.

I was in a car a lot like this back in 1977. Kenmore square, MA US. I'm guessing the neighborhood still had D.C. supply, as the relays made a bright flash when the motor engaged. Edison at the time was trying to phase out D.C.

Yeah it was obnoxioulsy LOUD! I could not shop here with the LOUD music.

DieselDucy Yeah, some clothing stores like to play loud music to attrack "young" and "hip" customers. I hate those kinds of stores, they don't see that such music can be off putting to some customers. In the netherlands it is fashionable to play dance/house music in trendy clothing stores.
