Your granpa's love for her & his ability to provide everything she wanted is what helped her survive 6 years after a Stage 4 diagnosis.
His love for her & her love for all of you combined with her upbeat outlook on life made all the difference.
When I was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer my Oncologist was more worried about the fact that I was in an abusive marriage than he was about anything else. He said for most people stress feeds cancer. It's what can cause it to begin & keeps it growing.
I had JUST gone into remission when our daughter lost her leg to an aggressive form of Type 1 diabetes. Nobody in the family survived more than a year after that. And while she was only 33 & we knew she would never see 40, her cardiovascular system was so aged by the disease that she had the cardiovascular system of a 73 year old when she lost her leg. My Oncologist found out & called me all the time to check on me. He was so scared for me.
But we turned it into a positive & as a nurse I helped her get all her Living Will & DNR on file. And her uncle is a mortician, he not only helped her plan, he did everything himself because he pinky promised her he would.

I just adore your grandfather! My dads dad lived to 104 and he had the BEST stories and lessons! Even at 104, he could still remember his income from his very first job and the cost of pretty much everything through the years! What a wonderful podcast to always have for years to come!

I’ve only just started watching and I’m already holding back tears. My Parents were married 55 years, together 57. We lost my mum last week at only 73 years old. I’m devastated but my poor Dad is totally heartbroken, it’s almost harder watching him trying to navigate his grief when mum was all he had through his whole teenage and adult life 💔 xx

I absolutely LOVED this episode! Your grandfather is cut from the same cloth as my dad. I laughed & teared up throughout. When you were talking about being with your dad, it brought me back to being with Dad as he passed. Hardest thing I ever did but a time I will forever cherish. ❤ Thank you so much for sharing with us. It was a blessing. 🥰

@CJFaison I am just listening to your vlogs. I lost my mom on 10/31/2021 to Pancreatic cancer. She was diagnosed in Dec 2017 while helping me learn to walk again after a botched surgery. They told her she would have 3 months to live, and she fought for almost 4 years. When she went to hospice 10/26/2021, she held on for 5 days. Every time we thought it was the day she kept going. She would acknowledge us when we told her we loved her even tho she was sedated. She reached up and hugged my dad the day before she passed. That day, I said all the things, told her I loved her, and said my good yes she sat up and reached out her arms and smiled. We believe she saw her grandparents and her aunt and joined them. When she laid back down, she shed 1 single tear and then didn't react to anything after that. She passed away that next morning at 11:26am. It was the scariest, craziest but most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed, and I will never forget it. I'm sorry for the loss of your Father, but I know he is with you, and watching over you always ❤🥰🙏🏻.

I adore your grandfather!!!! Awww I call my grandma Mimi too!!!! This conversation is literally making my heart ,eyes tear up, and butterflies in my stomach! Such a handsome man inside and out, I see how his soul has trickled down the line to you. It's so funny, your Grandpa owned 3 airplanes. My papa also had a plane
You're truly blessed to have a hard working, loving , tight nit family!!! I had a similar up bringing but I was raised by my southern grand parents and they were big in the real estate business, and my papa was a professor at Loma Linda university medical center for about 40 years, married to my Mimi for 47 years before he passed from having a stroke then a heart attack which left him having triple bypass surgery, he was good for a about a week then he stroked out again and was coma toast.😭😭😭 my Mimi pulled him from the hospital and put him in a hospice home where he only lasted 4 days... i was the last one to see him .I will never forget the feeling of him letting me know he passed 2 hours after I saw him...
2 days after hin passing, while I was sleeping, I had like this out of body experience where my papa took me to this dinner and it was alllll my family that wereI adore your grandfather!!!! Awww I call my grandma Mimi too!!!! This conversation is literally making my heart ,eyes tear up, and butterflies in my stomach! Such a handsome man inside and out, I see how his soul has trickled down the line to you.

The dream /experience was so effing real ... I'm not sure what it means when one soul enters another one, but it took me about an hour to come out of whatever happened . Long story I know , but I just wanted to let you know I totally can empathize with you about < 33:51 > this part of the podcast .

CJ, I watched this on my tv when you first posted it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!🥰 Your grandpa is such a WISE, SWEET, HUMBLE man!! I just love him! When I first saw him & what a trooper he was (even though it was past his bedtime 😂), on his first TH-cam video with you where he went into the woods with you..I knew right then you 2 had a special relationship! It was so cute! And then him riding along with you in that little imported vehicle 🤣 That was a hoot!😆 But this podcast was full of everything…love, laughter, tears, encouragement & the PRIDE he feels being your grandpa ❤I loved hearing all the stories. This was so very interesting & I loved every bit of it!!! 🥰 Great job to the 3 of you for this video! Thank you! What a blessing to have been able to do this together🥰 What a blessing to have each other in your lives & what a blessing to have such an amazing man to look up to with such great advice! The love he had for your grandma was just BEAUTIFUL! What a great generation of 3 men….your grandpa, your dad & you CJ!❤ I will be watching this again☺️ Much love from a big fan in Michigan ✋♥️

Wow!!!! What a beautiful podcast ❤️🙏 I totally see where you get a lot of your mannerisms and ethics from CJ 😎 Your Grandfather is such a joy to listen to and the Love he has to give is absolutely incredible,The way he spoke about your Grandmother and how he took care of her was so emotional 🥹 I highly doubt you would see that much dedication today right down to telling the nurse and dr that he would put her bandage on because he would wash his hands in the hottest of water so she would not get any rashes or infections…I actually cried because that there is the definition of not only true Love but everlasting Love,The entire podcast was absolutely amazing 🙏 I could have watched another two hours of you both reminiscing about your father and your entire family. Its so nice to see that you can share so much of your life with all of us (your second family) This touched me so deep and I can’t Thank you enough for sharing 🙏 You are blessed beyond words,I know I don’t know your grandfather but if you can remember do me a BIG favor and just give him a hug from me (Katie) I know that’s probably the last thing you will be thinking about when you see him but I just thought I’d try lol❤Much Love to you and your family ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you again this was beautiful! Stay safe

This is the best interview I've seen so far CJ! Absolutely adored listening to your grandfather talk about you, his life, and more. It is always so interesting to hear the perspective of an older generation. My grandparents were married I think I was sixty some years before my grandma passed away just shy of her 90th. Cancer also took my grandma's life, she had a rare form of blood cancer. My grandparents were born in the 30s and I still kick myself for not talking to my grandma more about her childhood. Absolutely love our older generation, they are true warriors and so much more for what they have lived through.
Thank you CJ, Chris, Ron Sr for sharing this podcast! I hope you have your grandfather on again, bring your mom too!

Just watched this podcast, very moving, and stirred up a lot of emotions. We have had similar experiences. The only difference being, after my mom's biopsy, the Dr. Left the hospital for the day, and left me to tell my mom that she had stage four, inoperable, incurable lung cancer and only had six months to live. My mom also waited for me to tell her I would be ok, and when she was ready it was ok to go, within a minute, she was gone.

Oh My Gosh! I Love Your Grandad! ❤️ What a beautiful person. I have always enjoyed watching you in your videos because you are so articulate and well-spoken. It just shows an heir of intelegance and grace. Your Grandad is a very well polished version of you! This podcast was a huge window inside the soul of CJ Faison and how you reached such intelegance at such a young age. You have come from generations of intelegant men. To see the same spark, I enjoy so much in your personality coming from your grandad was endearing. This same spark was in your father's personality, too. All of you are wise beyond years, and it was obvious in this podcast why all the Faison men have succeeded. Then there is your Mom, and from the sound of it, your Mimi too who created the fun-loving side of you. Your girl Chelsea is so much like your mom, too. It's insane. You need to do more videos with both your Mom and Chelsea together. Thank you for including us on this look into your personal life. It was such a wonderful journey tonight that I almost wish it hadn't ended. You already know that you are on to greatness in life. Be more careful when choosing to do things where you say, "I don't know if this is a good idea!" The world is a better place because you are in it to thousands of fans. To lose you would be a catastrophe !!! Much love from Northwestern Pennsylvania ❤!!

The same thing happened to my dad when he was going to pass. I was in his room and I told him that it was okay to go, then my sister came after me as we lived in different cities. She told him the same thing and I wasn't aware she did that after me. That morning on New Year's Eve, he passed away. He didn't want us there when he passed. I am so empathetic but it's harder when they pass before their time. I'm so sorry for your loss, as it's always, in my mind, still a hard time to remember how it happens. You have an amazing family.

Definitely would love to see your grand dad back on. Loved hearing you two talk. Made me cry 4 times with some beautiful touching stories. My question for him would be how he handles being without Lucy? I’m a widow also and it’s hard. I’m still trying to figure out my days without my husband.
Thank you for such a wonderful podcast ❤

What a lovely man your grandad is. I lost both grannys at age 10 and both grandads at 15. We lost my mother in law 2 years ago to stomach cancer that came back for a second time she was given 6 weeks to live lost her at 5 weeks. My dad is 78 and living with prostate cancer him and mum have been married 55 years.

I lived watching this. I honestly think you should do more like this. Grandad is an amazing man. I cried when he was talking about Mimi. You could see and hear the love in his voice. Thank you, CJ.

YES please get him back on, I don't know much about you CJ apart from the paranormal, rando and about you winning the dedicated race for your late father, but I have to say that after listening to this pod cast I love your granddad! He's awesome and I do love the old school way of thinking, The reason I have been trying to ask you about your racing is cos you must of heard of the TT races? or The Manx Grand pre? TT stands for Tourist Trophy, so you could easily do it or is bikes that literally when your on them and go round a bend!! man I'm not joking but my hair was touching the floor and it is very dangerous but please get back to me about this cos I'm dying to know if you have heard about it, I could and would send you things that you can't get, but back to your lovely granddad, I started watching and at first I was crying and laughing at the same time, but this has made me love your granddad, now I don't have anything to offer as I'm broke so on the off chance he's looking for a "sugarless Mama" then give me a shout cos he's the man and I think he's great really CJ your very lucky cos I used to have to work for a neighbor just so I could eat the scrap's from their plates before I washed them, and I didn't tell you that so you would feel sorry for me but to show you just how lucky you are to have a Family that loves you, look after each other and keep having each other's backs. Elaine xxx
