This is a lot of my friends and they hate how extroverted I am lol! I could literally start a conversation with a stranger and talk like we've been friends for years.
@@jamiedejonge3982 Wish I could because I have a more than enough and honestly I love your videos! Your work is fantastic and I would love to see the idea you pitched.
Please show us the concept art and presentation! I’ve been working on writing my own stories and creating my own art so I’m kind of inspired by this story. I also very much so relate to this because I find talking to crowds so much easier than talking to singular people. Singular eye contact is such a scary feeling, but looking at a crowd of eyes makes you feel less lonely somehow.
I actually have the opposite with a crowd you have way more people to potentially embarrass yourself in front of, and you don’t know how many of them are and aren’t judgmental while you can read one person like a book
Boy can I relate. Because of my autism I have a hard time expressing myself, and interacting with people can be difficult for me if I don't personally know them. I grew up in the theatre, so I learned some social skills through that.
I do too heavily relate to you. I deal with the side effects of autism and it has drastically impacted my social life. But with the dream I'm pursuing, I can no longer stay in fear and I'll have to step out of my comfort zone to be as great as I want to be.
I really relate to every single thing you said in the video. Stepping out of my comfort zone is something a fear day to day, but I know that I'll never be great if I don't start now. I've been developing an animated series for over a decade now. Through out the years, I've completed character analyses, inclusive plotlines, and about 60 episodes (more like concepts). I just don't have a team and I only have my brother co-creating it with me. I really want to know what's needed for a good pitch presentation and a speech so I can be at my best when the time comes, if you'd like :)
I'm a paranoid extrovert. How do I know this? Because I gamble nearly every single *bleeping* time I socialize, and I socialize chronically. I nearly always bet too high on myself or the other person to be able to carry the conversation. Compared to my little brother EmperorSheep, who barely socializes if he can help it, only talking to me whenever he wants to show me something. Anyway, I'm scared, scared. To see what the trainwreck is and how I could've prevented it, how I will wish I could've prevented it. Oh, so the film idea you're going to pitch is going to basically be like Balto except with less life or death stakes and more casual fun. Where could that go wrong? That's always what the parents focus on. The parts that we never think too hard about. My papi would probably chuckle uncontrollably and ask "Oh, so you want to see me dead. *insert chuckle* Don't lie to me, yes you do *insert chuckle*" 6:09 Welp, I don't see how things could go wrong here. Oh, you're *bleeped* 7:16 Jingle bells, they all smell, the Robins are laying eggs. The Santa statue lost the wheel, and Ms. Jamie GOT AWAY! *the fireworks on that Santa statue start to get lit and then get sent into space* Busting out I go, through a one person open slide. Laughing all the waaaay! I loved this video, the presentation wasn't that triggering for me. You did really, really great. I am not going to list examples of how I've done worst social interactions in my old school because that is for future me to animate, maybe I'll keep them written down somewhere, but this is your video. This is your chance to be a BIG SHOT!, not mine.
Ouch. Have you tried acting classes? Someone I watch and follow said this as "Public Conversation is just a stage" If you don't want to, that's fine as well, but you have to prepare yourself when a case like this happens, so that you can control your Social Anxiety better (rather than pretend you do control it, when it's the other way around).
Reminds me of this one time I went to Potbelly's. When we told them our order, the cashier noticed that my sister was wearing a Metallica shirt and then they went on talking about genres in rock until we got our sandwiches as if they knew each other for years. After we left, she even told me she never talked to a stranger for that long of a time.

Hey! I'm from the Netherlands but the lul in 2D is REAL. its heartbreaking for sure. I'm very lucky to have some regular customers and now I do some TH-cam and comic work on the side. How do you keep busy? Is it as bad in your country as it is in the Netherlands?
@@jamiedejonge3982 mostly so far i have to find jobs other than animation when things are bad. when I looked it up is says it's pretty good for animation, though where I'm from companies get benefits if you live in certain regions or cities, so it ends up harder than it should be, because even thou I live in the country, the companies have a harder time hiring people outside their aria, because tax reasons (some you have to live in for two years to be considered a citizen) so it becomes all the harder to job search. @Madison McArthur being able to support yourself is important. I used to get several part time jobs before I was able to sustain myself with just artwork. Starting a comic, youtube, etsy, patreon can be very time consuming at first. And it also took a long time for me to see some actual profit from them. And all the work you make for these platforms is also good portfolio work. Which country are you from? Maybe I know some studios there.
