Clarification: The Borough is the centre of Farnham but the intro was actually filmed in the Lion and Lamb yard. What are some of your favourite places in Farnham? Let us know!
Wow - great video and thank you for sharing! Good camera work and I liked the more obscure recommendations. Might have to go for a run or walk around that abbey
Hi just want to say that I like what you guys do and it inspired me to make my own version of things to do in Guildford, thanks guys keep doing what you do
Farnham looks like a lovely place, love the cobbled streets. I like the abbey . Is that free to go in? Everything looks so interesting. A town with definitely some history. I would like to explore Farnham, one day. Guitar village looks interesting, especially for the guitar connaisseur.
I went to Pierrepont too (in the 80's) I live 2 minutes down the road now, it had been a religious retreat for 30years but has since recently been sold because they couldn't afford to repair the roof. No idea what's going to happen to it. Probably get turned into uber-posh apartments.
@lambrettaluke I was at Pierrepont in the mid to late 70's, and by a strange coincidence I was reading about them selling it yesterday on their website. In a long diatribe they claimed that they sold it because it was God's will and they were following His word. Only at the very end did they mention that there were "financial issues" as well! He didn't help with those, did He?! I always thought there was something culty about them, I'd heard they were never receptive to Old Pupils wanting to visit and also stopped people using the public footpath that ran through the 1st fifteen rugby pitch and along the Half Mile. Good school, though. I was quite upset when it closed. Still living in Farnham and see some old classmates occasionally.🎓
Thanks for your comment! We have levelled out the sounds as best as we could, however, we are aware that there are still a few patchy areas due to not having enough mics. We're aiming to improve this for future videos! We do have subtitles available (on all our videos) if you're finding it difficult to hear
It's hard to see things from a visitors perspective when you live there, and easy to overlook some of the places that people will find enjoyable. We also used to live in Farnham - and have based some of the things in the video on what we found appealing. Where would you recommend instead? 😊

There is no 'lake' at waverley abbey, it's the river Wey !!
@@trekliquid55 Ah, thanks for the clarification!
@@trekliquid55 the lake is part of the grounds of waverley Abbey House, you can't miss it!
Absolutely love Farnham.

Yes, the abbey was free to go in, but it has opening and closing times! We like Farnham very much and we hope you do visit one day!
My hometown :)
Same
I went to a boarding school, Pierrepont School, back in 1970s, I wonder if it is still there.

I was there from 75 to 81. Teachers included Smitheram, Morgan, Burgess, Denne, Upton.
I was in Shaw House. Good times.

nice
Thanks!
Music way too loud. Could hear half of what you were narrating 😢
Hi please speak up a little. It is hard to hear what you are saying at times and the music in the background doesn't help
