Blaumeisen Küken fauchen bei möglicher Gefahr

Auch wenn man schon viele Jahre einen Nistkasten mit Kamera hat, lernt man nie aus. Bei möglicher Gefahr fauchen alle Küken zusammen und machen ein wirklich fürchterliches Geräusch.

Ui, hätte ich nicht gedacht, dass die Kleinen das schon machen. Da hätte ich erwartet, dass sie keinen Laut von sich geben. Danke für die interessante Aufnahme!

First of all I can't see nor hear what makes them so alert, so I can't help but wonder what triggered this reaction at all. On the other hand I'm surprised to see them take such an aggressive defensive stance. I saw a brooding female do that when some bird sat itself on the birdhouse, but never the chicks. I once saw an attempted attack of a woodpecker that tried to get through the entrance hole to pull out and eat the young ones (which were in the similar stage of development as those in the above video - luckily the hole was secured with a metal plate), but then the chicks became very silent and tried to lie as low as possible.

Das ist auch neu für mich. Wenn ich die Schale mit Buffi’s am Nistkasten neu befüllt habe, hatte ich immer die Innenkamera am Handy an, um zu sehen, ob Filipa oder Kolumbus gerade drin sind. Da haben sich die Nestlinge beim Geräusch des Fenster aufmachen oder Schale von Gitter nehmen geduckt und ganz ruhig verhalten ( da waren sie aber schon ca. 14 Tage alt ).
