Wow, man! Those colors are right out of the '70s. Psychedelic when it spins.

Steve, I almost cried seeing the wind spinner... I made one for my mother 40 years ago... She's gone but not the memories of how happy that wind spinner made her... Thank you Steve...

Sweet project, I am going to make this, with identical color scheme, hang it where I chill out, play some Jerry Garcia and watch it spin in the wind. Love your choice of music for this demonstration!

Nice projecgt to keep someone busy for a couple days. I took your advice and start getting pallets, but I have one suggestion for you and everyone else who takes apart pallets, Don't bend over and work off the ground. Stack them so you are not bending over all the time. Use a good pry bar for pulling the nails as all the pallets I get have special nails that are driven by air, so the pry bar makes pulling the nails easier.
Keep up the projects from pallets

That thing is trippy! Really like it! Also like the suggestion in the comments for those who think painting wood is sacrilegious to use contrasting woods to get a similar effect. I'd like to see something like that too.

Thank You Steve for the great idea. I seen this vid last week and I just finished my first one tonight. I made some assembly changes. Such as using 25lb test fishing line and a large fishing swivel. It moves just by blowing on it with a light air flow. Now the true test Midwest winds.

    That is just beautiful.
I made one of those one time using wooden ice cream sticks. They are cheap (you can buy them on bags of 100s or so) and they come in straight shape and sorta "eight" shaped (like a waist in the middle).
Good video and project, as always. Thanks Steve for giving us far better stuff than TV does.
