I love that tune from Twilight Princess. It's touching and soulful. Midna's bad state at that time had made so worried as I was running back the same way as the first twilight to find Princess Zelda. I loved Midna so much. The game ending was heartbreaking.
Usually this song makes me cry but this makes it sound like I should be sitting in a bar or pub, with a cigar and a whisky, looking over some case files 🤣
+Keeseman I wouldn't call it genius, just... musicality, I guess? I've just listened to a lot of music to know what sort of things tend to work together!
I really want to learn more about jazz (and composing in general), but I've only got four or five years under my belt musically. Did you study music in university or something, or did you just learn how to compose better over time?
+Keeseman Over time, pretty much. I've done a lot of listening, so I've picked up knowledge along the way. I plan to study audio engineering in college.
Dang man. Really hearing the difference between your older videos with this one, your quality had gone so far up. We'll done throwing some guitar in, and sick job on the sax around the 3:50 mark.
+Zoe Casas yup, Nintendo would say it would be a hard job but they know they could get the job done if it needed to be. (the song playing the background )
Someone needs to make a picture of detective Midna standing in a street at night with her investigative eyes with a light post and with her smoking a Sherlock Holmes Cigar
She was fading fast, I needed help, but who? Where? I had an inkling, but it was a quite a ways off. She needed me, and I needed her if I was to help anyone... Hang in there Midna. . .
From someone who grew up watching his father play Twilight Princess then played years later and loved it, this hands down the best version of Midna's theme I have heard thus far. I'm glad I'm subbed to you, you always surprise me with awesome tracks
Oh damn dude thats awesome. I just recently found your channel through some bingewatching undertale music videos and I'm so fucking happy I found this channel. I'm definitely gonna support you and buy stuff. You make nostalgic themes even more nostalgic and epic!
Your solos are absolutely immaculate as ever, but the sound of doubling guitar\sax and guitar\piano here is absolutely out of this world. You've done amazing work integrating it into your textures.
+Soundole VGM Covers I love experimenting with doubling different instruments. It allows you to get lots of different timbres from the instruments you already have!
I love your sweatshirt. In fact, I liked it so much I bought it for my 24th birthday in '14! Long before I saw your videos, too. This music of yours(and not just this one song, but all your covers!) is perfect for spring cleaning on grey days. Just enough bright to pick me up and just enough mellow to stop me from getting too energetic.
This was beautifully done. Bravo sir. This is one of my favorite Zelda tracks and you just OWNED it. I also love Jazz, having grown up listening to it, since my dad is a talented Jazz musician. I can tell you right now that you did this song total justice.
I'm 3 days late for this! I've never been this late! *Cries profusely* but seriously, you make my week. keep on going. keep being amazing. keep making music. or a part of me dies. no pressure
Amazing work. Really made it your own without sacrificing or altering to much of the original piece. Im not sure if its Charlie Parker or John Coltrane but I did recognise that lick at 3:36! Which made me smile!
This really sounds great! Very beautiful! I love how you doubled the texture of the lead with the sax/guitar duo. And your sax solos are always supreme :) Keep on inspiring!
+PyjamaPantsMusic Thanks! Funny that you say the word "supreme", there's actually a really famous album called "A Love Supreme" by John Coltrane, and it's considered to be one of the best jazz saxophone albums out there.
Nice cover! It's all the things you could wish for, video-games and good music! You have truly inspired me to become a better saxophonist than I currently am!
Don't see you playing the guitar very often, great job ! The original tone and mood of the track are still there, very cool to listen to while working on something else :)
+Erie Fabela Thanks for listening! And yeah, I love that hoodie, I picked it up at the Nintendo World store in New York City when I went to visit, along with that Mudkip plushie that resides atop my speakers :)
As soon as I saw you featured in RichaadEB's "Midna's Lament" cover, I instantly wanted you to make your own Jazz cover of it. Damn, it's so hard to choose which one is better! Both are outstanding! Good job, like always :D
for some reason when i listen to this i imagine a restored midna in an elegant black dress playing black classical piano on a stage illuminated by a spotlight only, as her accompanist (or whatever) is link, neatly dressed in a suit, playing a black sax with a bold gold trim. The audience quite as the song plays and a few tears are shed, reminiscing still a bit painful. someone plz draw that :D
Pause the song and play the battle theme for the full experience
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
lol so true
That actually pissed me off when it happened in game haha
TheSmashHusky it just made you want to kill the fuckers
I hate that they didnt fix that in the HD remake
Yes yes yes! One of my favorite's from the Zelda series, and you nailed it once again!
Nice to see you here Lizz :)
+Lizz Robinett Hello, Lizz!
:000 Lizz
I love that tune from Twilight Princess. It's touching and soulful.
Midna's bad state at that time had made so worried as I was running back the same way as the first twilight to find Princess Zelda. I loved Midna so much. The game ending was heartbreaking.
I know what you mean. I'm not ashamed to admit that I found myself openly weeping at the end.
Killer cover!
+GlitchxCity killer... because midna was dying? i'm bad
+insaneintherainmusic that was bad and you should feel bad
Omg this is epic, I really love both of you guys
You know someone is happy with a new instrument when you see what they use in the thumbnail. ;)
Really added to this cover! Well done!
+Toxodentrail Yeah, it adds yet another layer of atmosphere!
Agreed
Usually this song makes me cry but this makes it sound like I should be sitting in a bar or pub, with a cigar and a whisky, looking over some case files 🤣
Midna's Lament sounds like it's being played by the Zora Band in Majoras Mask.
AnamixArtist holy shit it actually does sound like it.
The Indigo-Go's
This was one of your best covers yet. From the epic piano solo to the subtle layers of the guitar... You must be some kind of genius.
This is so moody, really captures the dark pervading atmosphere. The jazzy extension gives it something extra too, phenomenal
Dang man. Really hearing the difference between your older videos with this one, your quality had gone so far up. We'll done throwing some guitar in, and sick job on the sax around the 3:50 mark.
+SuperMCGamer I've been working on my quality, dude. it pays off $$
sounds like a detective Midna spinoff.
+swords channel As in a Noir thingy?
+Zoe Casas yup, Nintendo would say it would be a hard job but they know they could get the job done if it needed to be. (the song playing the background )
Neo-noir with midna as the deceptive femme fatale?
Someone needs to make a picture of detective Midna standing in a street at night with her investigative eyes with a light post and with her smoking a Sherlock Holmes Cigar
Totally agree
She was fading fast, I needed help, but who? Where? I had an inkling, but it was a quite a ways off. She needed me, and I needed her if I was to help anyone... Hang in there Midna. . .
From someone who grew up watching his father play Twilight Princess then played years later and loved it, this hands down the best version of Midna's theme I have heard thus far. I'm glad I'm subbed to you, you always surprise me with awesome tracks
+MoonlightReaper14 That's a pretty cool story, man! I'm so glad I could bring some nostalgia back to ya.
Oh damn dude thats awesome. I just recently found your channel through some bingewatching undertale music videos and I'm so fucking happy I found this channel. I'm definitely gonna support you and buy stuff. You make nostalgic themes even more nostalgic and epic!
+Mario Magnum Dude, thanks! Patreon is a good place to support me, and Live at Grillby's is my recommended merch right now.
Gosh man, this is the most moving song from my favorite Zelda game! Thanks for showing it in all it's glory!
+davis ginn Thanks for checking out my rendition :D
You have no idea how long I've wanted you to do this cover. Thank you, great job!
That was wild! I'm usually not all that into jazz, but that was perfect. You have a real talent.
Thanks so much!
It's a sick sweatshirts! I got mine at the Nintendo Store in NYC :) Glad you liked it :)
This is probably my favourite cover of yours, the phrasing and dynamics are immaculate
This is excellent, Midna's Lament has always been my favorite piece out of Twilight Princess.
10/10
Your music helps make schoolwork bearable.
Hey, thanks, dude!
But seriously, it really does!
excellent! the intensity is great. felt the coltrane flowing during the solo
+Benjamin Malone Dude yeah! I was totally channeling coltrane in that one. Classic E minor vamp, same as impressions just in 3/4.
This was beautifully done. Bravo sir. This is one of my favorite Zelda tracks and you just OWNED it. I also love Jazz, having grown up listening to it, since my dad is a talented Jazz musician. I can tell you right now that you did this song total justice.
+dragonchi26 Glad to hear some praise coming from someone with a jazz background.
+insaneintherainmusic the sheet music link seems to be broken. Is there anyway you could get it working again soon?
Found this channel out of the blue and my god... Your stuff makes me tear up on almost every cover.
+Chris Bloor Thanks so much for listening to it! It means a lot that my music can influence the emotions of my listeners to the point of tearing up :)

but seriously, you make my week.
keep on going. keep being amazing. keep making music. or a part of me dies.
no pressure
Amazing work. Really made it your own without sacrificing or altering to much of the original piece. Im not sure if its Charlie Parker or John Coltrane but I did recognise that lick at 3:36! Which made me smile!
Awesome job! I love the dynamic levels you used here.
+Skyward Sean Yeah, I kept those in mind while writing an arrangement. Nice to have some dynamic music in a cover for once ;)
ohhhh yes, my favourite song in the zelda franchise jazzified. I love it
Yet again blowing me away with these covers man! Keep at it.
Yep, couldn't have said it better than that
+Smoore Thanks! And somehow I'm doing that without using any sort of wind... I'm hilarious.
insaneintherainmusic But you blow into the saxaphone... (let me stop)
+Smoore ugh.
MEIN GOD!!! Man, you deserve respect for naileding (whatever that means) this cool theme! \m/

+NebblesPlays seven chewed chuck e cheese tokens.
one of my favorites and it has never sounded better
This really sounds great! Very beautiful! I love how you doubled the texture of the lead with the sax/guitar duo. And your sax solos are always supreme :) Keep on inspiring!
+PyjamaPantsMusic Thanks! Funny that you say the word "supreme", there's actually a really famous album called "A Love Supreme" by John Coltrane, and it's considered to be one of the best jazz saxophone albums out there.
you made a modern video game song, sound like an old jazz standard. That's freaking talent!
Nice cover!
It's all the things you could wish for, video-games and good music!
You have truly inspired me to become a better saxophonist than I currently am!
Wow thank you very much
Black saxophone, black piano, black guitar. Very sleek looking buddy. and fitting of Twilight princess
+JZ Sax Once you go black... you never go back.

Magnificent, sublime! Thanks a lot!
for some reason when i listen to this i imagine a restored midna in an elegant black dress playing black classical piano on a stage illuminated by a spotlight only, as her accompanist (or whatever) is link, neatly dressed in a suit, playing a black sax with a bold gold trim. I would love to see more bass guitar in your covers. It has so much potential to make any song ten times better. Keep up the *fantastic* work!
+Maximeme I'd like to get a bass at some point, too. for now, we'll stick to normal guitar ;)
