The goal of these exercises is rather working on separation of movements(parts)
At the nut : without wrist or finger. Mainly upper arm movement (or elbow)
    Concentrate on UP BOWS.
From middle to the point: without wrist or finger
Mainly underarm without upper arm/elbow pushing in. No complex movements at the start and at the end.
    Concentrate on DOWN BOWS
Finger movement at the nut: literally just fingers.
No other parts should move (wrist, elbow, arm and shoulder
Concentrate on stretch and snapping back FULLY
In the middle with the wrist : in the video example it seems like fingers are active but it is just the consequence of wrist movement.
Concentrate UP BOW movement on the THUMB SIDE of wrist(inside)as if someone pulling a thread there like a marionette doll.
At the point with the wrist: this IS very unnatural movement. Usually used as tremolo or very fast passages. So practice not too slow otherwise you'll get lost.
Same as before, fingers are not the main character here. Wrist is moving and fingers are just consequence.
At the nut with the wrist: fix elbow and upper arm and only activate wrist(thumbside/inside)
Play open string or same note until you can separate the sensation.

For some reason, hearing "taktak taka stop stop" made me smile. 😅

Hi friend, I would like to ask the basis of your bow division, I see that the first spot is the balance point, but then they are not in equal parts as I do, I would like to know your thesis. Thanks!

      Hi 👋
      Sorry for the late reply
One could divide bow equally 3 parts( frog, middle, tip) but i did short frog and tip / longer middle because exercises at the very frog(tip) with only fingers can only happen in limited length.
Also the function/weight of bow parts are not all equal. So for me personally, i find it a bit weird and unnatural to divide the bow with 3 times the same lengths.(although which is needed for the beginner students!)
But as i said, it's just my personal thoughts, there's no scientific reason behind it 😅😂😂.
And it's good to have a longer middle part. Isn't it? 😝
It would be lovely if you could tell me how you mark student's bow so curious people in the comments could try them both! Thank you very much 😊

@@violinpraxis Thank you so much for your reply! I start marking the balance point, I find very useful to mark it for physical reasons (it is where the point of gravity changes). Then I mark the middle of the bow and another for the tip.
