    Great video David! Some tidy 30 series there. Valtra are always a tricky one to get the model numbers without being too close

      Thanks Tim. I’ve always liked the 30 series Deeres, a good investment today. Yes the Valtra models aren’t easy to get, have to be right on top of them to be sure!

      Haha David, yes that would be a painful day if you couldn’t but then with a straight field there’s always the GPS system to rely on if needed! Cheers, David.

    Good evening David and you caught me out straight away with this video. Just as it started watching, my phone rang and as I was answering it, I missed your shot of the Fendt model designation. Then as the video rolled on I'm saying to my self that's a different Fendt model for the one I has seen before, so had to restart and all was revealed. It is some beast along with the Reco Mengele chopper, and I am pretty sure you could have knocked together two of those windrows and it would still have kept going. It must have a few heads turning, as many outside of agriculture will be asking, why is that guy reversing all the time 😂. I am sure the lads in the great selection of tractors/trailers were earning their corn keeping up with him. It feels like its been a quick year with most of the season over, and its just over a week until the clocks go back. Loved the video David and looking forward to your highlights of the season compilation. Thanks and cheers, Fraser.

      Morning Fraser, just in on my first break (early starts for me!) so time to reply to you. Ah yes a similar looking Fendt to the 828 I videoed a few months ago so easily mistaken for the same one but this 936 has a lot more horses under the bonnet, 355hp compared to 287hp so a big jump in power! Yes definitely a beast and as you rightly say it could have easily coped with windrows twice the size! Ha good one Fraser, those that are not agriculturally inclined would have easily been fooled into thinking he’s going the wrong way! Yes a very busy day for the lads hauling as I’m sure it was for the man on the clamp too and they did well to keep up as that was a very busy road (the main A6) to be travelling on so a lot of concentration needed on the haulage part of things. Yes spring/ summer has been and gone again Fraser and as you say the clocks change next weekend so the evenings will seem even longer though hopefully my compilation videos will keep you going through the winter but seeing as I’ve taken a lot of footage this year so I’ve got my work cut out editing them together! Pleased you enjoyed the video Fraser and thank you as always for your great comment, always a pleasure to read them. Take care and enjoy your weekend my friend, cheers David.

      @@davidwinthrop7077 Thanks David for your reply (and for interrupting your well earned break), and I do feel for the lads doing the carting and running on the A6. I can fully appreciate that they would indeed have to keep their wits about them. I am 2 miles off the A90, which in our area has a terrible accident and fatality record, and I both know of, and have witnessed some really bad accidents involving farm or construction traffic over the years. Cheers, Fraser.

      It’s not an easy job carting on those main roads or even more minor roads now Fraser as some of the idiots using the roads don’t seem to care about other users. On my drive home from work at night (not so bad at 5.30 in the morning) which is about 6 miles I see some truly shocking driving and you really have to have your wits about you and stay alert to avoid an accident at times!

    Another excellent video David, with something a little bit different. The big Fendt is hardly breaking sweat , I am impressed how well the Mengele is handing the horsepower, but then again I am a bit biased to the SH40.😊

      Nothing wrong with a bit of bias especially when it’s an SH40 involved! Yes a lot of horsepower involved but taken nice and steadily all seems to be working well. Pleased you enjoyed the video and as always thanks for watching and the welcome comments. Cheers, David.

    Cracking footage as per usual David. I drove right by this field witout batting an eyelid presuming that the farm's usual New Holland and Jaguar combination would be working! I should have stopped for a look, that's a very impressive tractor. Is the 936 a local?

      Many thanks Jacob. Now that’s not like you not to grab an opportunity to film but presumably you had something important on. Yes the 936 is definitely an impressive machine, an absolute beast! Yes local and I remember you filming his Fendt 828 which he still has but he’s just added a bigger one to the fleet! Great to hear from you my friend, cheers David

    How do the outputs compare to a self propelled chopper? Was he a contractor or just a farmer with their own equipment?

    • @davidwinthrop7077
      @davidwinthrop7077  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@stewartstamper409
      I would think the Fendt/ Recos output would be comparable to say an early 2000s self propelled Stewart as it can certainly get through the crop but as a bonus instead of having a SP sitting in the shed for 6 months of the year you can easily detach the chopper and you have a useable tractor for the rest of the year. Contractor owned, he has two reverse drive Fendts! Cheers, David.
