Brian is one of the strongest human being who ever lived. He touches the human limit in many ways. Biceps, triceps, grip, back, weight... but AW has some specifics he doesn't have. You can try to simulate those angles on the gym, but the better way to do it is practicing and time is against him.

@@GuzQuebec Strongman transfers over pretty well to arm wrestling though. When you really think about it there many strongman events that require you to be strong in similar positions to arm wrestling. I don’t think it will take as long as people think. One of his best events was stones for example which I would think would transfer over to the table pretty well. Many of the carries are putting your hands and wrists in similar position to arm wrestling as well. Obviously pressing would transfer over really well in press and he’s already got tons of back and side pressure I’m sure

@@GuzQuebec I don’t think most strongmen have cared to go Into arm wrestling. When you’re that strong all around it doesn’t make sense to go into a sport where you have to be strong in very specific movements. At that point you’re putting so much strength to waste. Now that arm wrestling is becoming more mainstream I bet we start to see it more and more often. In my opinion strength athletes likes Brian coming into the sport are going to set a much higher ceiling. I can only speak on my experience going from strongman to arm wrestling and holding my own right away with people who had been arm wrestling specific for years. Obviously much different at the highest level but there is a lot of carry over. Skill matters of course and he can work on that pretty quickly with the great trainers and mentors that are available to him. Even so skill can only do so much to stop raw force. Take Levan and Devon for example

Alot of people say how practice pulls mean nothing, does this not apply here as well? Especially considering this is an experienced armwrestler here, (although, one that cant compete with the elites...) vs someone whos only a few months in. The goal is to motivate brian so he can eventually reach a point where he can beat levan. In practice pulls i dont even look at an armwrestlers face to guage their strength, we cant assume based on dereks face alone that he was going 100% as some people believe in these comments

@khabeesschool9919 Strong isn't completely the right word for arm wrestling. You have to have the skill for sure and raw strength is also valuable. What catches weight lifters out is tendon and ligament integrity. No point having 1000hp if the driveshaft is rated at 250hp.
Weightlifting is using wrist straps on a bar. Strongman is picking up a huge irregular stone up to your chest and walking with it as far as you can go.
It will take Brian couple years to gain the strength and skills to start chipping at the big boys.
