Not sure if it was mentioned in the video but make sure to sand the buckets and trash can before painting. I didn’t, and the paint nicks off very easily because of the shiny finish under the paint.

Kim: I personally have never paid for a repurposed waste basket. It sure helps to keep cost down and it also helps to know owners of rental property, for many renters leave waste baskets behind when they move out. Although, I should mention that in checking out Menard's, I have come across new plain Rubbermaid waste baskets . - I forget the size but they were about 23" tall and cost around $12. Hope this helps you out. Ken-Northwood Nutcrackers P.S. You made even want to check for used baskets at you local thrift store.
