stayc seriously makes performing look easy. they sing in a stable way in the right tone with subtle backtrack while dancing and expressing the song amazingly. hands down
yeah almost no backtrack( just the correct amount to breath and it blends perfectly)

They are amazing and VERY stable but there is definitely a backing track. I’m not sure a music show would allow an idol to be on the show without it. It’s very quiet though. This is what backing tracks should be like. StayC really are the standard!

Isa is literally out of breath when the bridge part but her voice is so stable and not even out of tune. I could never😭. I'm not even dancing and my voice literally like a rat. Also yoon she's so pretty my bias😊. I always looked forward to her hair like what colour would she slay in every performance. She's rockin that hairstyle

These girls really are one of the prettiest groups among all gg I've ever seen. They're so refreshingly gorgeous and really distinctive from one another. Not only that, they're super talented in singing, dancing, and seem to always have fun on stage.
It's amazing how they never go out of tune even when they're out of breath :o

@everyday better seriously ? it's a good choreography for people who sing live, but it's not like BP choreo which are littery "change in formation" as you said.
For example, in the chorus they jump and shake their hips => we could've heard something awkward but no, they do it perfectly.
@everyday better i agree with you. for some reason kpop stans get defensive whenever people mention their favs having an easy choreography. nothing bad with it, actually even better for the idols themselves so that it wont tire them out

I love them but let's not put this high expectation of them. J was flat a lot of times in this performance, particularly her first line. I would say the most stable ones pitch wise are Yoon and surprisingly Seeun. Sieun and Sumin ha very minimal mistakes but they're there.

For kpopfans to know how to distinguish live from lipsyncing, you guys should stan StayC lol. You can compare their 1st week promotions from their latest and you could clearly hear the difference. It is not an excuse to say "*Insert kpop group* live vocals are so good, you can't believe it's live", when it's clearly not.. StayC on the other hand, sounded so good and stable even tho their live vocals are a bit different from their recorded voices.(idk if I explained it good tho)
Lipsyncing is not bad tho, all singers do that. They of course have to rest their vocals cords. However, y'all should really practice hearing the difference so that y'all can stop using this as a hate.

Try dancing and singing, in a full month where you need to do it at least 2-3 times per music show. And there are like 5-6 music shows. Not only that, they need to perform again in many other shows, variety, youtube, etc.
If you kept doing that with no breaks, you would lose your voice, have no energy because you arent resting properly (some of music shows recording started early in morning and sometimes they have schedules to the night, like to midnight).
I do agree that you should not lipsync, but if the song didnt have choreography. If the song have choreo where they twirl around, hopping and jumping, to the point that some vocals might break because the movement of the dance, I rather see them lipsyncing/singing with loud backtrack and putting 100% on the choreo.
If you dont know and dont understand how your vocal chord works, dont speak as if you understand. Lipsyncing is not a lie. I would like to see you try before you said that.

this is exactly what i wanna say as someone who enjoys analyzing(?) the live-ness of k-pop vocals, all idols lipsync sometimes which is fine every once in a while, but it’s annoying to see stans defend them and call them ‘100% live vocals’ when they’re not. i think it’s because nowadays it’s quite rare to see groups singing fully live with no backtrack like this, which again is not a bad thing but the way some groups depend on backing support honestly ruins them for me which is why i appreciate stayc so much more. they really put effort into showing their talent which is v cool to me. calling them a group with amazing live vocals is not an overstatement. i’ve always loved stayc but today after watching some of stages i realized how stable these girls all are, i have a newfound respect for them.
the stage just going dark with the spotlight on Isa during her part was surreal! And her singing staying impeccable even when she’s out of breath-stayc vocals are on a whole other tier

I mean, I knew they're good at live but this performance really showing how good they are, even when "I'm a good girl" part, we can differentiate the backtrack and the live one, showing that there's no loud backtrack that outshined their voice. Also Isa's ending part, you can clearly hear she's out of breath, but somehow it makes the part more emotional.
i can feel it... we need to start begging them to lipsync for their sake of wellbeing.
