  • Bo toi koo, misusuma. (Hark, my soul! It is the Lord)
Dominant Tune: Rev. Joseph Emmanuel Allotey Pappoe
This is a Presbyterian Ga Hymn with its original (English) author, William Cowper. It was inspired by the story of the encounter between Jesus Christ, who had just risen from the dead and the Apostle Peter as found in John 21:15-17.
This Hymn is not just a story-telling but a reflection of the Christian life - one which at a point in time is full of strong devotion to Jesus but, the love occasionally fall short of what Jesus would have hoped for.
It finally gives us the zeal in the last stanza to openly admit our weakness and seek God's grace from above: "Lord, it is my chief complaint that my love is weak and faint; yet I love thee, and adore; O for grace to love thee more!"
Reflect on the song and together let's beseech God to grant us grace to love Him more.
