I also screwed the pieces together on the Harbor Freight one. And just like yours, it started leaning. I reinforced those breaks with that fiber-fix tape and it held up great until I didn't need it anymore.
Yummm....morels. You are so lucky to have such a nice patch so close. Went morel hunting for years in the same patch and unfortunately about 5 years ago the owner sold the property and the new owner removed all the trees and turned it into a hay field. Now looking for new hunting grounds.
We set up canopies for bbq competitions. My husband bought cheap large, flat bottomed plastic bowls and large U bolts. Poured cement in the bowls and inserted the bolts. Once set up he used ratchet straps and attached them to the top of each pole. Worked like a charm.
The tent flipping over in the wind was very funny as was the earring! The new tent is much more solid without a doubt, but for longevity a pole barn as suggested in other comments is a better idea. Another good video.
I had one of those white tents under a carport to keep the sun off of water toys. The wind and rain tore it up pretty good too. Your new one looks much stronger.
I have 2 of the white ones without sides and I know what my next will be but as for tie down I took mobile home anchors and put them into the ground 1 at each end at the center and ratchet straps at each end hooked to the center pole and when a storm etc is incoming I hook the other end of the strap to them anchors and never had a issue
Looking at the Harbor Freight tent you took down you could reinforce it and use it as a greenhouse frame if you get into gardening. Hope Sage is doing ok. It's hard to find another boss on short notice.
My husband told me there's an additive to put in to a gas tank where the gas has been sitting a while so it doesn't wreck the engine. He says you put the additive in, then fresh gas, but recommends you fill the tank ASAP & run it to burn off the old gas. Or to drain the tank if it's going to sit longer.
Yes. We have both. Got 50 grade shear bolts (3/8-16x3”) on Amazon - for the auger. And, yes, that’s how we twisted the to-20 PTO. Have a replacement, but need to open transmission and cut it to get it out. Mechanical projects pilling up.
She’s still feeling the effect of the sedation. I had to come up here to mill and didn’t want her to be in the shed where she could get hurt. She climbs a lot on stuff here.
Was wondering about how that would hold up - on one hand I know the bungees will dry rot and stretch, so thought we might use zip ties. On the other hand the zip ties don’t give so it seems the eyelets will rip easier. It’s a toss up.
So how long until yours self destructed? My poles bent inside the first few months as well the end cap doors tore. And a week after the 1 year warrantee… the roof tore. And this is WITH an extreme duty tarp over the top helping it!!! JUNK!! TIP… my legs bent inside the first month or so. Get some PVC pipe and fit it over the legs, remember to drill holes so the pop pins can set themselves. Then over tarp the top with a BLACK extreme duty (HF) tarp… this will help shed the snow. Then strap the hell out of it and use massive anchors. You should over-tarp the rear door and the wind facing wall as well.

The lizard on the earlobe cracked me up!!!
I was wondering how many people didn't notice the lizard earring.

Attached each from the top of the poles. Cement weights on the ground.

I can see you guys cutting more 6x6 timbers in the future for a pole barn. You could totally do it! :)
We totally will!!!

6:17, MORELS!
Love morel hunting. Looks like a good patch there.
I remember my mom and grandma taking us kids out Morel hunting, we mostly hated it at the time
Nice earring !
You need water barrels to keep it down.
at least!!
congrats on the morel hunting! super fun to do I don't do it myself but its popular here in IL

Unfortunately both of the covers got got hammered.
@@MrZZeroG I meant use the frame with plastic sheeting. Just hate to see it go to waste.
Here in Montana the mushrooms are really good after fires. The next year after a fire.

Great video. Thanks.
What's the story on the RV/camper in the background. Do you folks stay in those? I thought you stayed in the cabin.
Also, nice earring.
A friend stores his camper there over the winter and the 76 GMC is a future project.
@@MrZZeroG background Easter egg for future vids?
Make sure that your PTO prop shafts have a shear bolt or slip clutch

Good call tying it down to the tractor until you can better secure it to the ground. 👍
put a bunch of dead trees around the areas you found the mushrooms , see if you can encourage more mushrooms
Morel mushrooms go for about $60 / pound in our area
What are you spraying with your tractor sprayer?
We have to refurb those so nothing yet.
You have morels in Tennessee?
I saw a comment in the live chat about Sage. How’s Sage now any better?

I have one of these and the wind has ripped out the eyelets on the front. the bungee cables are not the best.

Besides that, I really like it.
Seems like you might find a snake under some of that stuff
Anyone else sing the “like and subscribe” theme song in their head during the Timelapse?

You need more than strings to keep that standing. Why aren't you using cement anchors?
