Oh, without a doubt, this was one of the most interesting classes so far, MIss Bell. My grandma told me about living in the roaring twenties. I was her favorite grandchild. I think because I was a wild child growing up. Always getting in trouble and fights and things. She always said I reminded her of the kids that she remembered when she was young. Because my mother and father worked, she raised me. She lived in the same building as my mom and dad, so when I started school she made sure me and my siblings were ready and took care of us after school. I mention these things because she used to talk to me about what life was like back then. And of course she lived through the great depression. But that's for another lesson I guess. The pictures you displayed looked like some of the ones grandma showed me. And some I still have of her. She was a "flapper"! She used to tell me about prohibition and all the wild things she did before she got married and settled down. I have a picture of her in the mid twenties sitting on her boyfriends Harley Davidson! In fact, I started riding motorcycles when I was thirteen and have a picture of her sitting on every motorcycle I owned until she passed away. The "roaring twenties" kind of remind me of the sixties. I was a child of the sixties. With the wild freedom and casual relationships, no wonder they had to develop penicillin. But I had to pause the lesson and look up some of the things you spoke about. It really got me curious. Harding's nomination was caused by pretty much the Chicago summer heat and delegates not wanting to pay more hotel bills! They just wanted to get It over with. "The night of the smoke filled room" was a very interesting read. The "Teapot Dome" scandal? Man, politics were down and dirty back then as they are today! Harding's presidency was as scandalous as anything I've seen in my lifetime. I guess politics never change. No matter the party. Well, thank you very much for such an interesting lesson of the "Roaring Twenties" Miss Bell. And as they used to say back then, you are the cat's meow! 🍎
I like the coloured patterns unlike the horrible clothes they try to sell today that are ALL black and white. This is all thanks to the Chinese who have trouble seeing past their own noses so they don't notice.
I am officially a genius. Ive been struggling the most in history(specifically U.S. history) so i decided to watch history lesson asmr every night. I believe this should help my grade. Get it stuck in my while still keeping my nightly routine of watching asmr to sleep

Wait why did women get to vote without having to register for the draft? Why was this called "equality" if they got the right to vote but not the responsibility for being drafted? .-.
It was just the times. The 1920s allowed women to serve as nurses, not as frontline soldiers. They still are allowed the right vote because of this. Regardless, if you’re a tax-paying citizen then you should be allowed to vote.
This is out of topic but I don’t get how you can keep your legs crossed in the same position for like 30-20 min every video ??? Great videos by the way keep it up 👍🏼
