Glad to see you're alright Anthony. Sometimes people need an example like you to get a clue. Hopefully others will step up as well. Perhaps a quick community meeting might help. You tell a couple neighbors and they tell a few more that you're all going to meet at x location to see what you all can do as a team to try to help move recovery along. Stay safe!

Trees are a very big problem. The fire trucks and power line crews out here have chainsaws in all of their standard gear. That is how frequent we deal with trees falling out here. God bless you for helping out. Last year, we had a resident get trapped and died in his home. An Oak landed on his house and his home was barricaded from all points by trees. Rescue and the residents literally spent hours trying to rescue him by cutting through all the trees. It was a tragic mess. Take care and be safe, man.

@glen1arthur a great man once said "ask not what your country can do for you. But ask what you can do for your country". This applies on smaller scales as well.

@BecomingDangerous0 they turned all the substations off to repair them the first day so there was no live wires on my highway. Still didn't actually get within 5 ft of a line though. But I did cut a bunch of tops out of the way so all the linemen have to do is drop the trunk and restring
Yeah we had to do that during Sally the quicker the better bc there is only so much emergency response and they dont even usually come out for tree clearing until after the storm passes for safety. @acerrubrum5749 exactly. Alot of folks complaining they don't have power but are sitting on their hands
