GRRM is a Marvel and Stan Lee fan??? Marvel & Game of Thrones?? That sounds like one of the most amazing combinations EVER - two of my favorite things.
I am happy that George is such a kind, funny, social and interesting man with a lot knowledge of his own universe, the human history and superheroes. He could be shy, arrogant and not interesting.
Wow, this is the first interview I've seen with GRRM and based on some of the things I've heard him quoted saying, I expected him to be a bit of a dick but he actually appeared to be a great guy, that's cool.
I love how he asked him if it was his first comic-con, ignoring that this guy is some kind of geek king that's been around in this shit even before most of us were born xD
you know he's a fan when even "he" is like no I wouldn't kill anybody. By the way anyone know if wonderman is alive right now? I think he holds the record of most deaths in comics at this point
***** if you don't count all the what if's I think she is at 3 right? no she dies in new x men that was the future one but that's 4 ya she's up there too wow
Wonder Man is alive at this time. However he is wrapped up in an alternate-verse Avengers story involving the Apocalypse twins - the future children of Warren Worthington. Jean is also alive, though a teenager and somehow able to overpower Gladiator even without the Phoenix or proper training.
I cant agree more with Martin about the lack of Ant Man and Wasp but still going forward with Ultron hopefully the movie is somewhat vague on what actually happens for Ultron to become self aware and evil maybe later on its found out Pym actually shrinked into starks lab and started to mess around causing the change and later on in another movie he becomes a hero to make up what he let loose on the avengers and the world
Fun little conversation. Mr. Martin will always have my respect. Hunt down the Wild Cards series of books he helped create. That shared universe is fantastic and a great read for any superhero fan.
Ashish Singh he's not really a DC fan. He read a couple comics back in the day but wasn't really interested in the characters at least that's what he said in a interview.
He would have killed Iron Man in the first film, hahahahaha. He'd have an interesting take, that's for sure. I think he'd be my #2 pick for a Marvel movie after Del Toro.
"Comic books are books. They are meant to be read." Thank you for saying it, Mr. Martin. I completely agree.
***** Did he really say shit about comic books? Stephen King has a nice past (and present) with comics as far as I knew.
Stephen king even though he's extremely talented and a great writer. He's also very snooty and very pretentious - attitude wise he's terrible.
I love this guy. I just hope he stays healthy to finish the Ice & Fire series.
George is a badass, nuff said.
I can listen to this guy talk all day. He always has something great to say.
George RR giving props to Hawkeye? Mad respect bro :P
I like how he can joke about killing characters but also talk about the importance of their deaths and how it can create an emotional response

ragingfiip dr.doom sitting on the iron throne , make it happen marvel.

Someone get George R.R. Martin and Stan lee in a room together now!!!!!
:'(
123jaffakid GRRM has said he’s met Stan many times but he didn’t think Stan knew he was.
Marvel give him this man a book.
he was interested in writting dr strange
0:38
George knows what's up
Someone's about to die in avengers.
I love how he asked him if it was his first comic-con, ignoring that this guy is some kind of geek king that's been around in this shit even before most of us were born xD
What a nice guy.
I have to say this is the first time I hear George talking and for some reason I thought he was an old arrogant bastard. He's actually pretty cool!
you know he's a fan when even "he" is like no I wouldn't kill anybody. By the way anyone know if wonderman is alive right now? I think he holds the record of most deaths in comics at this point

no technically Mr Immortal has the record in death in comics hehe
Wonder Man is alive at this time. However he is wrapped up in an alternate-verse Avengers story involving the Apocalypse twins - the future children of Warren Worthington. Jean is also alive, though a teenager and somehow able to overpower Gladiator even without the Phoenix or proper training.
well we would probably kill Iron man because you know...
Stark
Russos have read this comment
See reading comic books do improve lives. Just think of a world with no GoT in it.
you know Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch would actually be sleeping together if Martin was writing
What a cool, relaxed guy!
he seems like so much fun
He seems very humble, what a guy! :D
Hah, this guy knows his Avengers history.
What a great interview
George R.R's the coolest~
I cant agree more with Martin about the lack of Ant Man and Wasp but still going forward with Ultron hopefully the movie is somewhat vague on what actually happens for Ultron to become self aware and evil maybe later on its found out Pym actually shrinked into starks lab and started to mess around causing the change and later on in another movie he becomes a hero to make up what he let loose on the avengers and the world
He is brilliant!
Fun little conversation. Mr. Martin will always have my respect. Hunt down the Wild Cards series of books he helped create. That shared universe is fantastic and a great read for any superhero fan.
Wow, clicked on the link, thinking I would tear G.R.R. a new one, but I have to say, he's a pretty cool guy!
Love this
"Way too many of them are still alive, I would have killed off about 75% of them the first movie."
Oh hell yeah, we need a Wonder Man movie.
"I thought it could use more soft floppy Weiner's"
-George Ar. Ar. Martin-
Can you imagine if he had a hand in the direction of the Marvel universe? *Boom!* Or rather, *Kun!*
Dude in the middle sounds like Paul Walker
LOL GRRM throwing shade at capitalism LOL 3:46.
I bet he'd crush Ant-man like he was one of his beetles.
He sounds so much like Grizzwald (yogscast fans will know what I'm talking about).
MARVEL X GAME OF THRONES. MAKE IT HAPPEN.
random thought: he should kill Captain America or Spiderman. That would be rad
So glad he didn't say over-hyped Iron man as his favorite. Comic Book hawkeye ftw.
CarCrusher3 every true avengers fan knows it's comic Hawkeye > Captain America >giant man > Thor >vision > every other avenger.
What about Justice League?
Ashish Singh he's not really a DC fan. He read a couple comics back in the day but wasn't really interested in the characters at least that's what he said in a interview.
If George got inceptioned, i think Cobb will die 5 minutes in.
The guy on the far right looks like he smells like dog farts.
He would have killed Iron Man in the first film, hahahahaha. He'd have an interesting take, that's for sure. I think he'd be my #2 pick for a Marvel movie after Del Toro.
No he wouldn't. he would try and stick to Stan Lee's story lines
I was just kidding, I know he wouldn't kill off the title character that fast..... well he did do it in GoT.....
Blu-Ray King The fact YOU though he was the title character is your fault.
It would make sense. After all, Iron Man is a Stark.
Earllon Granada hahahahahahaha
Has he's hair gotten whiter or is it just the sun? He looks like Santa Claus.
The characters are lasting too long for his liking
First haha marvel
